The new single defines the band's power pop, topped with an upbeat tune which they have been developing in last two albums.
Maroon 5's new single "Moves Like Jagger", which has Christina Aguilera's vocals in it, leaked a day before its official release. Loaded with whistling sound, the club song is supposed to be debuted on Tuesday, June 21 night during an episode of "The Voice" where vocalist Adam Levine and Aguilera are serving as coaches.
"The [Maroon 5] guys and I recorded this track in L.A. last month and it was great getting to work with Christina on it as well," Levine said in a statement. "We are excited to perform it for our fans on The Voice this Tuesday and on the road this summer."
The band's tour in U.S. will begin on July 22. Speaking of his plan on the jaunt, Levine said, "We're adding big Marshall stacks, adding speakers and subwoofers. We have an old-school mentality toward entertaining. We emulate bands like the [Rolling] Stones, U2, Van Halen, and Queen, bands that put on such a motherf****r of a show that you can't not like it. We want people to get lost in the experience. There's no smoke and mirrors."
