After Lady GaGa sparked controversy with her Lollapalooza crowd-surf-kissing which she did with Semi Precious Weapons, now Adam Lambert introduces another form of fans interaction. During his recent concert in Providence, Rhode Island, he performed what he described as tongue diving.
The "American Idol" alum did the stage act when performing Tears for Fears' "Mad World" and T. Rex's "20th Century Boy". Halfway through the set, he paused and leaned into the crowd. He did it twice reportedly to smooch not only female but also male fans. "TongueDiving is the new StageDiving. Get Into It," he tweeted.
Last year, Adam Lambert made a shocking performance by delivering a sexually-charged act on the stage of American Music Awards. He stunned audience by simulating oral sex, kissing his male keyboardist and gesturing fans with his middle finger.

I'm not sure if it's amusing ~or just annoying~ that this kind of non-event at a rock/pop concert gets such press ... Amusing, because we fans LOVE to see the attention Adam gets for just about anything (a while back it was the new color he had his toenails painted!) ... and annoying, because something like kissing a couple fans is not usually covered with such ZEST ~ except for the fact that the performer doing the kissing, in this instance, is a (God forbid!) gay guy!!! And I sure wish those who insist on writing about anything-Adam (because he is the coolest person to report about) would get the facts straight -- Two fans (one girl and one guy), who were NOT random, as Adam sussed them out at the evening's meet-and-greet. As for kissing one of each gender, I'm with "lady" -- It WAS pure genius! The man knows exactly what he's doing. Think about it. Oh, and by the way, good job being the latest in a tediously long list of writers to ressurect the AMA performance ... Such old news, which has been eclipsed many times over by the many positive actions on the part of of Adam Lambert, and have NOT been trumpeted with the fanfare of the events some would try to make so salacious.
the only reason this is big news- Adam is our Idol- he does it coz it drives us wild- we feel we have been short changed if he doesnt give us some hot sex act or other- keep it cummin your the sexiest most tallented singer on this planet, i cant stop perving at you, you light up my world!

the show that night was spectacular.He has such a wonderful show, great vocals, band and dancers. I have to get to another one. Oh my and he kissed two fans he had met at a meet and greet earlier, I never in my life witnessed such horror.

Of course. Naturally. Adam tries out kissing TWO people during a performance - both of whom he'd previously met - and it brings out all the HACKS and their over-reactions - and their harkening back to the AMA's NON-scandal. What a crock! After performing in front of thousands, several times a week for the past 2+ months, he kisses 2 people and a big deal is made of it. That just tells ME that Adam needs to de-sensitize the issue by kissing 20 or 30 or 40 people during each show - until it's just NOT NEWS! Kissing fans has been done since the dawn of Rock 'n Roll.
