TLC has run out of patience for Jon Gosselin when he didn't comply with the deal they made. The network is filing a lawsuit against the father of eight on Friday, October 16, citing that Jon has trespassed the contracts which ban him to appear in other shows without TLC's consent. Jon, after his separation from Kate Gosselin, had done interviews with "The Insider" and "Entertainment Tonight" among others.
"The network has been trying privately and patiently for months to get Jon to honor the contract he signed and to comply with his obligations relating to public appearances and statements," a statement released by the network is read. "Those efforts have been unsuccessful."
The suit which was filed in Maryland's Circuit Court of Montgomery County also stated that Jon had been ill-talking about "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and revealed confidential informations to public like when he talked on "Larry King Live" about the salary. It basically required Jon to abide with the terms of their agreement and return any money made through his other TV appearances.
Jon has responded to the lawsuit through his lawyer Mark Heller who told People, "Jon will vigorously defend against this baseless action, assuming Discovery and TLC choose to go forward with their claim by legally serving him with notice, and we are confident that through the course of litigation it will clearly be evident that Discovery and TLC exploited, manipulated and abused the Gosselins' vulnerability and financial hardship."
In further development, TLC accused Jon of removing his kids from the show after the network refused to answer to his attorney's demand. "(Jon) Gosselin's counsel stated that if this release was not forthcoming within one hour's time, defendant Gosselin would reverse his often repeated public comments to the contrary and publicly object to further filming of the program on the ground that it is purportedly detrimental to his children," the suit specified.
Another defense released by Heller is that both Discovery and TLC have treated Jon like a dog on a leash by denying him "an opportunity to earn a livelihood to support his family."
"Jon & Kate Plus 8" will end in November because there is a lack of footage. TLC has struck a deal with Kate on a new project called "Kate Plus Eight" which has been delayed from its November 2 premiere due to Jon's refusal to let his kids be filmed.

I agree with the comments about Jon's lawyer, he has a shadey past and just like Jon he's only concerned about his own interests in this! Lookout Jon you are going to wind up nothing.
Most of the comments above have it right! KATE is the hard worker and the responsible parent of the two. TRUST ME--I KNOW!! Jon just wants the money-He told Kate that the blankedy-blank kids can pay for their OWN college!! He DOES NOT pay ANY household expenses at all--he just blows the money. Kate pays for EVERYTHING. Jon just steals money out of the account that is supposed to be JUST for household expenses!
Wasn't Jon's father an alcoholic? He seems to be acting like someone under the influence of something. He changes moods like a teenager. First he hates the cameras and the fame then he appears on any tv show that will have him and parades around out front at the house so everyone can see him and snap photos. I lived with an alcoholic and a drug user and many things Jon does points to drug and/or alcohol use. Not that I am defending Kate because she is playing up the poor little wife role rather well. She was a bitch to him and seems as if she would rather be off jet setting in her heels than getting down and dirty playing with her kids and being a Mom.
It takes two to tango and two to bk-up a marriage. Sure, Jon made some not so good choices and the tabloids take something that might be innocent and create dirt because that is what sells papers, magazines, and boost network ratings. Maybe....just maybe TLC is behind those that have been following Jon and taking pictures. Kate has been no saint....she constantly verbally abused Jon on the show and she even admitted it when questioned, but will not accept any responsibility as to possibly driving Jon elsewhere. One can only take such abuse for so long, then when they are around others that use positive comments that uplift their self-esteem and self-worth they will go back for more. Don't believe anything you hear about others from others including news reporting and only believe half of what you see because it may not even be what it appears and/or what others want it to be....such as the tabloids with their version under pictures. I truly believe Jon & Kate love each other and their children very much. Jon made it clear in interviews at the end of show episodes that the fame, constant following, camera outside his home 24/7, and the fact he wanted to just be a normal Dad, spending time with his kids without the constant viewing of others. At the same time, Kate stated, "I love what I am doing...etc" then continued to unfairly judge Jon verbally again. Jon handled it well, stating "there's your conflict." Not long after that is when the separations was announced. I just don't like everyone coming down so hard on Jon now....when in fact before all this crap started about cheating and etc....everyone was bad mouthing Kate because of how bad she did treat Jon. I hope and pray, a judge will delay this divorce and order the couple to marriage counseling. Has anyone bothered to ask Kate if she noticed how bad she spoke and teated Jon and if she would be willing to learn better and different communications skills. If she doesn't learn better communication skills, she will continue to have relationship problems with men in the future and then eventually with her kids. Jon & Kate both have admitted...Kate ruled the nest. She had to have everything perfect and Jon did bend over backwards to do so for her.....so, when he started standing up for himself and kids.....everyone wants to kids him in the balls and wallet. Even Kate's family have described how she really is and the worst you see on TV is how she is when the camera's are off. There is the best and the worst in each human being. I just hope people out there will quit supporting all the negative and start looking at what each Jon & Kate have done positive for their kids and future life style. Amen
Jon , you and Kate loved each other enough to have these wonderful children ,now love each other enough to be parents that get can get along make parental decisions together after all it will be a long time until their 18thbirthday Jon while everyone is hoping and wishing bad things for you I hope and wish that peace finds you and Kate ,that you can go on with your lives seperatly but always putting the children first ,just becouse you could not make it as husband and wife ,what great parents you be could be dont do things you will look back on and say only if !!!!!! I wish you both happiness in your future just know when you lay down at night that you can honestly say as a parent I made the right choices for myself and my children there is no better gift to your children than to be the best parent you can be may God Bless you and Kate and the children that all of this will pass soon.

Jon always wanted to be able to stay home more with the children and TLC and Kate made this possible for Jon to do,it would be such a blessing to his children to be able to share the show with Kate and the children be the better person, it is possible and healthier for the future growth of the children to see that no matter what happened between their parents they are still first. Jon should step up be a man ,put his and Kates marital problems behind them and go forward with a show that lets the world know that in this day and time with all the sick people out there hurting children,it is still possible for divorced parents to be adults ,go on with their lives be civil to each other when I went through a divorce 23 years ago we put our problems second put our son first and he is now 28 years old has seen his divorced parents get along all through the years sharing birthdays for our son together we always remained respectful to each other for the sake of our son and today our son is very productive wellrounded and is proud of both of his parents for doing this and guess what we did not have a show on tv to pay us to do this just becouse Jon and Kate cannot live together as husband and wife, they should be able to make it as mother and father to these precious children they are Gods gift to Jon and Kate a gift other people only pray about having .what a show this could be!!!!!

This is amazing to say the very least, are you people really serious? My daughter sent me this link while doing research for her psychology class, she spent hours reading articles and comments from people who actually know nothing about these two people other than what is scripted on television and splashed across the tabloids, yet still take their time and energy, not to mention emotion from their own lives to scribble meaningless blurbs about people they don't even know on various internet sites. How many everyday children are out there going to bed hungry and frightened each and every night, I wonder if you put any, not to mention as much, energy in helping those as you do to bad mouth Jon or Kate? YOU DON'T EVEN REALLY KNOW THESE PEOPLE. Geez .... and then you wonder what is wrong with todays youth? I used to be a fan of the J & K + 8 show, but am now at the point I don't even want to see Jon's face on the screen. Whine, whine, whine. It's all about me. IMO TLC is not only upset with Jon but also his lawyer Mark J Heller. Heller is giving Jon really bad counsel by stating Jon's contract with TLC is "null and void." * If Jon continues with Heller he will end up penniless. *

Your kids are not going to like Hailey and she is not going to want to be the parent of your eight kids. They will see her as an intrusion to their lives and their family. Jon never successfully fulfills anything in life. He fails at everything. During his 10 year marriage he was fired from 2 jobs. Now he has been fired from TLC. He fails at every venture and he lies to everyone about everything. He said he had business prospests to Insider and it turns out he has nothing. In fact he offered to work for free and the producers turned him down. Looks like his 15 minutes of fame just fizzeled out.
Jon has got to be the dumbest person on earth along with his attorney. If claiming you did not have leagal representation is a viable excuse for voiding a contract, than over 90% of contracts would have no validty. I guess I can get out of paying all my bills and such. Furthermore, it is all parties responsibility to seek legal representation if desired for a contract. That is Not an excuse of TLC's fault that he chose not to. What an idiot. I hope he hangs.
