How Kato will look like in upcoming movie "The Green Hornet" is revealed through two on-set pictures. The photos capture the stunt double for Jay Chou's character wearing all-black outfits and mask.
In addition to those pics, other photographs taken from the filming location of the film in Los Angeles have also been found, highlighting on Cameron Diaz's Lenore Case and Seth Rogen's Britt Reid. The two are seen holding a press conference when an explosion goes off and they are rushed to their car. All the pictures can be seen on SuperHero Hype!.
An adaptation of WXYZ's radio show created by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker, "The Green Hornet" is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on December 17, 2010. In addition to Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz and Seth Rogen, it will also be supported by Nicolas Cage as Mr. X.
This film got pushed back twice. Originally set for June 25, 2010 release, it was moved to July 9 in the same year before then being delayed to December slot. Concerning on the recent pushback, Seth Rogen said, "We're both relieved and psyched about the change. It gives more time for post, which would have been immensely rushed if we were to come out in the summer."

Before anyone says it i know there have been countless movies where actors train for months to learn to do certain roles, i.e Kurt Russell as Elvis, Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles, Will Smith as Ali etc. But this is kind of different. In the back of my mind i'll know that every move Jay executes will be choreographed by some martial arts expert. Will Jay do Kato-like moves and do Bruce justice? We shall see.
When i saw the movie trailer for the Green Hornet i immediately did a search on Jay Chou. From what i read he is a mega superstar in his field. But as Kato? I'm skeptical. Because like millions the world over i am a Bruce Lee fan. Lee took his martial arts as seriously as Jay takes his music. How would it look if the situation were reversed? A superior martial artist playing the role of a superior musician with no musical experience? Doesn't make much since does it? Any director and movie effects can make his (Jay) moves look good on screen; however, true Lee fans will know if it's real or memorex. Martial arts were more than just throwing punches and kicks to Lee. __"Before I learned martial arts, a punch was just a punch and a kick was just a kick. When I studied martial arts, a punch was no longer just a punch and a kick was no longer just a kick. Now I understand martial arts, and a punch is just a punch and a kick is just a kick." People who are already criticizing Jay Chou's performance as Kato in the Green Hornet aren't being fair to the actor. Maybe they should watch the damn movie first.
Besides the compromise in looks and aura, Jay can't even fight convincingly. For commercial reasons, he just claim to be a fan of Bruce (Since when??). It's a loss that the more fitting Stephen Chow declined the role of Kato.
Jay Chow's scrawny build and average looks is a horrible choice for Kato's role! What make Kato a hit is the lengendary Bruce Lee. A suava, handsome and charismatic movie star. Jay Chou?? No way!!! :p
this is gonna be fun. people who say he cannot act are plain wrong. sure maybe he wasn't good at the time of Initial D. but later on he directed and acted in his own film "Unspeakable Secret". THAT movie was AMAZING. just for your information about how popular he is, Jay Chou is like the Justin Timberlake of Asia - except even BIGGER.
