Joseph Fiennes and his Swiss model wife, Maria Dolores Dieguez, are expecting their first child. In a statement confirming the news, the actor says he and Maria are "utterly thrilled" with their upcoming infant.
No other detail of Maria's pregnancy has been shared with the press. Yet, a close friend is quoted as telling the Daily Mail, "She's three months pregnant. They kept the news quiet until Maria reached the three-month-mark but now they are telling everyone."
Joseph Fiennes, 39, and Maria Dolores Dieguez, 27, have been dating for four years before they walked down the aisle in a religious ceremony in Tuscany last month. The pair's first meeting occurred at a film festival in Italy four years ago, at a red carpet party.
Due to his wife's pregnancy, Joseph reportedly has been taking some time out and clearing his busy schedule for the birth of his first child. His next films include "Against the Current" and "Vivaldi".
