Playing a high school choir's director, the rapper will appear in at least two episodes this Fall.

AceShowbiz - Producers of FOX's "Glee" would like to show that the new series is not just a typical musical by hiring rapper Eve to appear in a couple of episodes. They are injecting the R 'n' B element to the high school choir, having Eve to play the director of a rival school's girls choir.

According to EW, Whitney Houston was supposed to take the role but when she dropped it, Eve snatched the opportunity. Eve's character, which will appear in at least two episodes in the first season, is described as a "no-nonsense". Prior to this, she has made a guest appearance in "Numb3rs" and starred in UPN's show "Eve".

An original production of FOX, "Glee" has been premiered on May 19 and received 9.6 million viewers. The remaining episodes will commence on September 16.

It follows an optimistic high school teacher Will Schuester who tries to refuel his own passion while reinventing the McKinley High School's glee club and challenging a group of outcasts to realize their star potential. Going up against McKinley's cruel high school caste system and facing harsh criticism from everyone around him, Will is determined to prove them all wrong.
