New York City has become a host for the premiere of "Knowing". On Monday night, March 9, the city that never sleeps saw red carpet being rolled out outside the AMC Loews Lincoln Square and Hollywood actors and filmmakers coming to the venue for the special screening event of the forthcoming thriller.

Among the cast ensemble, Nicolas Cage, Chandler Canterbury, Lara Robinson and Rose Byrne were out to attend the premiere, giving their time to pose individually and collectively with director Alex Proyas for the press line. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, TV actresses Bernadette Peters and Jill Hennessy, and "Madea Goes to Jail" actress Keke Palmer were also present.

To open in theaters across the U.S. on March 20, "Knowing" follows John Koestler as he comes across a startling discovery when he unravels an encoded message written 50 years back and pinpointed on every major disaster happening in the past. Going deeper into his investigation, he discovers that the document foretells three additional events, the last of which hints at destruction on a global scale.

With time running out fast and his attempts to alert the authorities falling on deaf ears, he must figure out a way to prevent the calamity from taking place. Enlisting the help of Diana Wayland and Abby Wayland, the daughter and granddaughter of the now-deceased author of the prophecies, he goes on a heart-pounding race against time until he finds himself facing the ultimate disaster-and the ultimate sacrifice.
