Telling the stories behind several of his songs, Kanye West will make his storytelling debut on 'VH1 Storytellers'.

AceShowbiz - Continuing the tradition, Kanye West is set to take center stage of "VH1 Storytellers" where musicians perform and tell the stories behind each song. He had appeared before a selected audience on Friday, February 13 at Los Angeles' Sony Stages and his taped segment will be aired on VH1 Saturday, February 28 at 9/8c.

It is an hour long show that chronicles West's account on the songs in his latest-released album "808's & Heartbreak". He also did the favor of singing his past hits while giving an intro to each of them on what inspired him to write.

"VH1 Storytellers" dates back in 1996 when Ray Davies did the first episode. Throughout the years, a variety of musicians including Elvis Costello, Elton John, Tori Amos and Mary J. Blige have graced the stage.

Beside rapping, Kanye West is also involved in production of other artists' albums. He is one of the writers in Jay-Z's upcoming album "Blueprint III" which he claimed as nearing its release due date. "I just did one beat the other day in Hawaii - probably one of the best hip-hop beats of all time, if I do say so myself. I just gotta do three more beats and we're done, 'cause he's got classics," Kanye gushed. "He's got songs that are better than any of the things you've heard leaked."
