Tori Amos Splits With Label to Go Indie
June 03, 2008 11:06:49While many young musicians are trying very hard to get a contract deal with a major record label, the opposite thing is being done by Tori Amos. The female rocker has made a surprising decision by ending her courtship with her label Epic Records and chosen an independent path for her new LP.
That news was confirmed by Tori's manager, John Witherspoon, who told Billboard.com, "As with many of her contemporaries, Tori is devising new and exciting ways of getting her music to the masses without the boundaries and limitations of the major music companies." John then also reveals some details about the singer's upcoming indie album, saying that it's "A project of new music and visuals which is being started in the summer."
Tori Amos Told Two Audience to Get Out of Her Show
December 15, 2007 11:12:08Tori Amos made a scene out of her own show when she stopped her piano playing and evicted two audience out of her San Diego concert. The Grammy-nominated singer told two fans who were sitting at the front row to "get the f**k out of my show".
The two women reportedly kept leaving their seats to go to the foyer of the Copley Symphony Hall during the show which was caught by Amos on the corner of her eye. Fed up with them, Amos pointed to the objects of her distraction and said, "Hold on! Get the f**k out of my show! Get the f**k out! It's a privilege to sit in the front row. These are my seats, and I give them to people who like music."

Entailing behind musical maestro Andrew Llyod Webber's path of success is singer Tori Amos. Completing "American Doll Posse" and still few months away from world tour, Amos fills in the gap with writing a musical for West End and Broadway project.
"I think I am writing a musical! I'm gushing but I'm under lock and key. I'm trying to be Lloyd Webber and Rice. I'm trying to be both. I'm busy. This is such a big project - a double record, 23 songs and the extras," she revealed in an interview. She refuses to spill any further details regarding this project.
