Movie

A video tribute for Dr. Manhattan looks back at the ten years existence of the 'Watchmen' superhero and his contribution to the alternate America.

AceShowbiz - With Warner Bros. going full gear in promoting "Watchmen", a new video for the adventure fantasy movie has been brought forth. The video is an excerpt from a 1970 edition of NBS Nightly News anchored by Ted Philips and it focuses on Dr. Manhattan. Made in the form of special report by co-anchor Jim Sizemore, the video looks back at the 10 years of the blue superhero.

The fake news report gives a bit about Dr. Manhattan's background. It also displays what he is capable of doing and lists his super powers from his ability in teleportation to his indestructiveness. The video contains as well his contributions to the alternate America, such as the national defense and the space race.

Aside from the new video, Warner Bros. have shared more "Watchmen" images. Pictures from Gila Flats Incident Reports to a shot of Dr. Manhattan taking Neil Armstrong photograph on the occasion of the Apollo moonlanding in 1969 can all be seen via The New Frontiersman.

"Watchmen" is adapted from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' comic book series of the same title. It follows superhero-turned-vigilante Rorschach as he investigates the murder of his former colleague and discovers much more than a simple homicide case.

Directed by Zack Snyder using script written by David Hayter and Alex Tse, it features the likes of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Jackie Earle Haley, Malin Akerman and Patrick Wilson. It will hit the U.S. big screen on March 6.
