'Samantha Who?' Not Returning Until Spring
TV

The second half of 'Samantha Who?' may not be aired until the end of March in order to give room for 'The Bachelor'.

A change of plan has been conducted by FOX, particularly on their two primetime shows, "Samantha Who?" and "Hole in the Wall". The former which is a comedy starring Christina Applegate, is bumped to Spring schedule to make room for "The Bachelor" which is aired in two-hour editions.

"Samantha" was originally intended to continue its second season on January 12 but it was postponed to January 19 before pushed again a week later and finally put in the Spring slot. "The Bachelor" is gaining momentum with its 13th season and will wrap up on March 2. Its numbers have been steadily increasing, starting with 8.7 million viewers to 9.9 million on Monday, January 19.

However, there is a huge possibility that "Dancing with the Stars" will take over after "Bachelor" ends its reign, with equally two-hours telecast. Thus the earliest premiere date for "Samantha" could be March 30.

Similarly, "Hole" is shelved after only one episode but is said to return later. The game show that aired on Sunday, January 18 is getting a two-week break and will be replaced by "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" on January 25.
