On Monday, January 12, CBS will present their night of laughs starting with "The Big Bang Theory" at 8/7c, continued by "How I Met Your Mother" at 8.30/7.30c. A promo combining the next episodes of the two shows has been released.
"Big Bang" will move forward with an episode called "The Killer Robot Instability". When Penny's comment about Wolowitz's love life sends him into a depressed stupor, his friends lose their most important team-mate in an upcoming fighting robot competition.
Meanwhile, "HIMYM" airs "Benefits" where Marshall finds out the downside of his new job, Lily helps Barney work out rage issues, and there's something in the air around Ted and Robin. This episode in particular will feature cameos from reality TV stars, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and Kim Kardashian. Marshall has a toilet problem at work but is helped by a copy of U Monthly where the three of them are on the cover.
