will.i.am made a live performance singing his post-election song "It's a New Day" for the first time on "The Oprah Winfrey Show". As it has previously been announced by his spokesperson, the Black Eyed Peas' member also debuted a music video for the new single on the November-7 episode of the TV show.
On the video posted below, while will.i.am was standing in front of Oprah's audience singing the pro-Barack Obama song, the music video was played on a huge screen behind him. Started with the rapper's close-up shot, the video featured some clips showing the euphoria of Obama's supporters after the Democratic candidate won the November-4 U.S. presidential election.
In related news, will.i.am and other Black Eyed Peas' members are working on the band's fifth major studio album "The E.N.D (The Energy Never Dies)". While no release date for the effort has been set, will.i.am revealed that he wants their songs to offer embedded information and even "songs within songs" when user clicks on a pop-up.
"I'm tired of making songs for the radio and for MTV," he said during an interview. "You should make songs for where songs are actually being listened and played. We have new people ... software programmers. They are just as important as me, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie (Stacy Ferguson). That's us, the visual members."
