With the success of "Iron Man" in taking more than half a billion dollars at the box office, Paramount Pictures are taking steps to distribute the sequel to it and other similar movies. The studio have signed a deal with Marvel Entertainment for the right to produce several movie adaptations from Marvel Comics.

"Coming off of Iron Man's incredible success this summer, we could not be more excited about extending our relationship with Marvel," said Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures. "Marvel's iconic brand, its popular characters and its proven ability to create compelling and visually spellbinding films complement Paramount's great history of filmmaking. We look forward to a long and successful run together."

Beside "Iron Man 2", some other movies mentioned are "The Avengers", "Thor", "The First Avenger: Captain America" and even "Iron Man 3" which has not been developed yet, but put in line anyway.

Along with the deal comes several changes on the release dates. "Iron Man 2" will now be released on May 7, 2010, "Thor" on July 16, 2010, "Captain America" on May 6, 2011 and "The Avengers" on July 15, 2011.
