Space Set Up for 'Anchorman 2'
Movie

In the latest update to 'Anchorman' sequel, it has been hinted that the follow-up movie may be set in the outer space.

AceShowbiz - The sequel to "Anchorman" has been planned and it is now indicated that the news casting comedy may be brought to somewhere far from Earth. Opening up about where and when the possible follow-up movie possibly takes place, Paul Rudd suggests that "Anchorman 2" will perhaps be set in outer space.

To MTV News, he explained, "I know when we were shooting it [director] Adam [McKay] said if they ever did something it would have to be really weird like we were on the moon or something. I think it has to go even further if it was to work." He also assured that the sequel is in development saying, "Last I heard they were starting to write it and they were thinking about setting it in the eighties."

When asked about whether he will reprise his role as Channel Four News Team's lustful field reporter Brian Fantana, he noted that he is indeed interested to come back. "I don't know if it's a throwaway comment Adam McKay had made at some premiere or something. I think [he]'s interested in the idea. I think Will [Ferrell] is too," he said. "Certainly it was so fun to make that if they were to do another one I think we'd all be really interested in it."

Released in 2004, "Anchorman" is a comedy film from writer/actor Will Ferrell and director/writer Adam McKay. Starring also Christina Applegate and Steve Carell, it highlights on the popular 1970s culture in Action News television-program format and tells the story of a rivalry between different gender newscasters when a female reporter is trying to be the first "Anchorwoman".
