A report on sequel in the making has hit 'Pink Panther' franchise as it is said that talks with the film's writers on 'Pink Panther 3' has begun.
Though the second installment of "The Pink Panther" movie is still months away from its theatrical release, a talk on the making of its third film, "The Pink Panther 3", has begun. On the development of the third comedy movie, it is reported that the film's star Steve Martin and producer Robert Simonds have started to work their way with the writers.
First to bring up the news to the media attention was Variety. Still, up to date, reports on the subject are still stuck merely on the talking with the writers. There is no elaboration made and thus, there is a possibility that the film may not be done after all.
Concerning "The Pink Panther 2", it is said that the sequel has finished shooting and is waiting for its release on February 6, 2009. Further, the movie featuring Martin, Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer, Aishwarya Rai and Molly Sims will follow the clumpsy Inspector Jacques Clouseau in catching artifacts' thief. Meanwhile, the first "Pink Panther" movie starring Martin and Beyonce Knowles has gone on grossing $82.2 million domestically and $158.9 million worldwide.
