The independent thriller project produced by Insomnia Media Group about a love triangle has the romantic comedies actress as one of its stars.
The co-star of Ashton Kutcher in "Just Married", Brittany Murphy, will be starring in an independent project "Across the Hall". According to Variety, the 30-year-old actress will join the "Cloverfield" actor Mike Vogel and the television star of "Cold Case" Danny Pino.
The thriller, which was expanded from Alex Merkin and Jesse Mittelstadt's 2005 short, tells the story of a love triangle among a young man, his best friend and his fiancee. Merkin will direct the film, while Insomnia Media Group's Jeff Bowler and Bret Saxon will act as the producers. The film will start production on February 6 for 2009 release.
Murphy's feature credits include "Clueless", "Girl, Interrupted", "Riding in Cars with Boys", "8 Mile", "Uptown Girls" and "Little Black Book". She will next be seen in "The Ramen Girl", "The White Hotel" and "Sin City 2".
