Seems it will take some time longer than we have thought to see go for high-speed action in "."

Despite the success in finalizing preproduction stage on the action thriller, IM Stopping Power GmbH, a subsidiary of IM Internationalmedia AG that backs up the project, just brought in a shocking announcement stating the start of principal photography on the movie has been suspended.

In the statement, the Internationalmedia Group admitted to have not been able to currently close the required financing due to the inability of the key investor for the film to fulfill his obligations and so, decided to postpone the picture. The company, however, is already looking for alternate investors and expects the production can be resumed in a short time.

Directed by "Speed" helmer Jan de Bont, "Power" originally was scheduled to enter principal photography next month in Berlin, Germany with and accompanying Cusack in the cast. Cusack has been billed to play a man who races to rescue his kidnapped daughter while Isaacs has been set as the kidnapper and George the girlfriend of Cusack's character.
