Missing On-Screen Dad, Tom Felton Can't Wait to Start on 'Deathly Hallows'
March 31, 2009 01:03:03There is another reason behind Tom Felton's eagerness to reprise his Draco Malfoy role in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and that is Jason Isaacs. Recently Bristol's Evening Post reported that the 21-year-old has confessed that he can't wait to start filming the final two films of the "Harry Potter" series because he misses Isaacs who plays his on-screen father in the series.
"I haven't seen him for a couple of years but he's a great guy and he is a bit of a dad," he explained why he can't wait to work alongside the older actor. "I look up to him a lot when we're filming, he's a good role model to have on the set to follow in his footsteps. Lucius is an evil son of a gun and Jason is very good at turning that on when he's talking to you normally, it's scary."

December 22, 2008 11:12:24Attending the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival at the Jerusalem Cinematheque to promote his drama movie, "Good", Jason Isaacs gave time to talk about what he thinks of the splitting of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" into two films. To The Jerusalem Post, the actor who plays Lucius Malfoy, said ominously, "I think that's a mistake."
Not intending to say bad things over the decision though, Isaacs further explained his remark, adding, "It should be made into 10 films so I can do it for the rest of my life." On the question whether his Lucius character is good for Jews, he addressed bits of Malfoy's focus on "racial purity", which he claimed to sound "like right-wing political campaigning".

September 12, 2008 12:09:37Though Lucius Malfoy character has not been included in the sixth book of "Harry Potter", the father of Draco Malfoy will be making a special appearance in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" movie version. In an interview with MTV News, Jason Isaacs, the actor portraying the Death Eater's member, confirmed his return to the sixth J.K. Rowling's novel series adaptation.
Revealing that he has been involved in an one-day filming for the fantasy film, he further let slip where his evil character can be spotted. "I'm not [really] in the film [but] I did one day. I went in for a day," he explained. "I'm a moving portrait on the wall." Aside from hinting on his cameo appearance, he admitted that he is left disappointed when finding out that his character is not written in the book saying, "It absolutely killed me."
