No leak is necessary anymore, Britney Spears' comeback single that has got people very curious was debuted on New York City based radio Z100 on Thursday night (August 30). Her label Jive also announced that the not-yet-titled album is coming up this November 13 instead of next year.
'Gimme More', an up-tempo song that is produced by Timbaland's 'right man' Danja, speaks up its attitude as early as the first line. The opening says "It's Britney, b***h". While some may be skeptic on how strong this single is going to revive Britney's career, Z100 director said the response was indeed good.
Sharon Dastur, program director at the radio station told The Associated Press, "A lot of people automatically had a negative attitude about it before hearing it. And then the reaction we've been getting, you know, people are so pleasantly surprised by it. You also have the people who have just been cheering on her comeback anyway."
Britney is expected to make a 'surprising' appearance at MTV Video Music Awards next weekend (September 9), as many have reported. One of her dancers hinted that the pop queen would "close the show with a Medley of her new single, Gimme More, and a beautiful ballad called Cry."
