Jessica Alba will play a hockey team owner who is also the love interest of Mike Myers' character in Paramount's comedy "The Love Guru."
Becoming the first female name to be in the cast, Jessica Alba has delightfully been signed to star opposite Mike Myers in comedy flick "The Love Guru" which Paramount Pictures is currently developing.
Here the beauty reportedly will play the owner of a hockey team also the love interest of Myers' character Pitka, an American guy raised by gurus who has profession as a couples therapist. Pic is directed by Marco Schnabel based on script written by Myers for a planned June 20, 2008 release.
Picked up along with the beauty are Verne Troyer, aka Mini-Me from Myers' "Austin Powers" films, and Romany Malco, best known for his appearance as Jay in "The 40 Year-Old Virgin." The former is learned to become the coach of the hockey team Alba owns while the latter will portray a hockey player whose wife is sleeping with a member of the rival team. All characters are brought together when Pitka gets hired to reunite Malco with his wife so that he can lead the team to the championship.
