
Really paving a solid path in film industry, 50 Cent has landed a starring slot to play a drug dealer opposite veteran actors Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in Millenium Films' recently-announced "Righteous Kill", the rapper himself revealed during the launch of a Manhattan showroom for his G-Unit clothing on Tuesday, June 19.
"I'm not even sure they know yet," the guy told The New York Daily News. "Me and Robert were supposed to shoot a film where I played a police officer, but now Al and Robert play the cops."
Directed by Brooklyn-born filmmaker Jon Avnet, pic has got its script penned by Russell Gewirtz and is scheduled to begin filming on August 6 in Connecticut with some parts of it to be shot in Manhattan. Apart from the helming duties, Avnet is also producing alongside Emmett/Furla Films execs Randall Emmett and George Furla as well as Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson, and Alexandra Milchan.
