Since being unveiled back in March, up to this moment there is no sign of "Valkyrie" filmmakers taking names into its cast apart from Tom Cruise. However, word is circulating now that the project has enticed five more actors to join in.

According to LatinoReview.com, the likes of Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Kenneth Branagh, Stephen Fry, and Patrick Wilson are all "in discussions" to take starring slot in the flick, a fact-based World War II thriller of United Artists production.

Except for Wilson, all names mentioned above turn out to have performed in Nazi-themed or WWII films. Nighy once appeared in the telepic "Hitler's S.S.: Portrait in Evil" while Wilkinson in the Holocaust TV movie "The Attic: The Hiding of Anne Frank." Branagh played a Nazi officer Reinhard Heydrich in HBO's "Conspiracy" with Fry taking part in the forthcoming film about Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann, "Eichmann."

Slated to enter production this summer, "Valkyrie" recounts the true story of German officer Count Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg who schemed the plot to assassinate Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. Bryan Singer is onboard to direct based on script penned by Nathan Alexander and Christopher McQuarrie, who previously wrote Singer's breakthrough feature "The Usual Suspects."
