Lance Armstrong picked up his fourth consecutive male athlete of the year trophy Wednesday night July 12th, 2006.


Wednesday night July 12th was the day Lance Armstrong picked up his fourth consecutive ESPY Male Athlete of the Year Award.

"It wasn't rigged, I promise," he told the Kodak Theatre audience after receiving his silver trophy from singer Mariah Carey.

Winning the trophy, Armstrong has to beat out such heavy fellow nominees as Albert Pujols, LeBron James, Shaun Alexander and recently drafted Texas quarterback Vince Young.
