Another Hold from Sony for "3:10 to Yuma"

"3:10 To Yuma" is ready to go, with a hold?

The director of the critical and commercial hit "Walk the Line", James Mangold is heading up to start shooting "3:10 to Yuma". The schedule is set to begin in October, with Russell Crowe in the leading role.

"Yuma" was eventually produced this summer for Sony Pictures. It was also prepared to start shooting until Sony put the project on a hold. Mangold is now striving with Cathy Konrad, as the producers, to collaborate with other studios.

This case with Sony also occurred to Mangold when he was handling "Walk the Line". Sony put the project on hold, leaving him offers the movie to other studios. He remained unsuccessful until Fox took the chance and made it Hollywood's hit.
