August Rush Starts Production in New York

The music-driven drama "August Rush" has commenced production in New York for Warner Bros. Pictures

AceShowbiz - President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures announced Tuesday Feb 28th, 2006 confirming that "August Rush" has started its production in New York. Working behind the scene is Richard Barton Lewis who is producing and Kirsten Sheridan who is directing.

Meanwhile, actors already on board to star in are Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Terrence Howard, and Academy Award winner Robin Williams.

"August Rush" is a drama movie which tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York's Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Williams), August (Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth.
