Phil Robertson of 'Duck Dynasty' Calls Homosexuality 'Not Right'

"Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson came under fire after making controversial comment about homosexual. A straight man, the 67-year-old said in January 2014 issue of GQ that he found it illogical because "It seems like, to me, a vagina - as a man- would be more desirable than a man's anus."

Robertson revealed how he holds on the conservative and strong Christian faith. "We're Bible-thumpers who just happened to end up on television," he said of his popular A&E show. "You put in your article that the Robertson family really believes strongly that if the human race loved each other and they loved God, we would just be better off. We ought to just be repentant, turn to God, and let's get on with it, and everything will turn around."

Zhang Ziyi Reached Settlement With U.S. Based Site Over Defamation Story

Zhang Ziyi has been fighting a defamation story of her being paid for sex by Chinese government officials. On Tuesday, December 17, she reached an undisclosed settlement with one of the media that published the reports, a U.S. based news website called Boxun News.

Ziyi filed for a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court against China Free Press (CFP), Inc., a North Carolina non-profit corporation devoted to promoting free speech and democracy in China, and its founder Weican Null Meng, a U.S. citizen. She complained that Boxun News, which stays under CFP's wings, repeatedly published false reports of her earning millions of dollars for sleeping with Chinese politicians and others.

A lucky man has enlisted the help of "Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul to propose to his girlfriend. The man, Jason Lord, won a personalized video after he donated to a charity created by Paul's wife. Lord planned to propose to his girlfriend of three years, Jackie Prater, with the video.

With the help of some friends, Lord surprised his now-fiancee by performing "To Be With You" by Mr. Big. According to the video, the couple drunkenly sang it in one of their dates and "the song has been an inside joke for them ever since."

"Neil Burger is a rock star and he is doing a fantastic job on 'Divergent'. We can't wait for you to see the film," the studio says om the statement. "But as amazing as Neil is he still cannot be in two places at once and thus needs to finish post production on 'Divergent' while we gear up to start production on 'Insurgent' "

'The Bible' Sequel Gets 12-Episode Series Order From NBC

"The Bible" sequel "A.D.: Beyond the Bible" has officially got a 12-episode series order from NBC. The miniseries, which will serve as a follow-up to the Mark Burnett and Roma Downey-created miniseries, is set to premiere on the network in 2015.

"Last year when Mark Burnett was launching 'The Bible' on cable, I told him, without hesitation, that if he wanted to tell more of the story, we'd love to do it at NBC," says Robert Greenblatt, chairman, NBC Entertainment. "We are firmly in the 'event' business and nothing has more event potential than A.D. as it continues immediately after the 'The Bible' ended."

Co-produced by Michael Bay and Brad Fuller, the sci-fi thriller is filmed in found footage. Directed by Dean Israelite, the micro-budgeted film is written by Jason Pagan & Andrew Stark ("Paranormal Activity 5"). It will be released in the U.S. on February 28, 2014.

'The Walking Dead' Creator Frank Darabont Sues AMC Over Show Profits

After their partnership that resulted in the successful show "The Walking Dead", Frank Darabont and AMC are now not on good terms. In fact, the former showrunner of the popular horror series is taking legal action against the network, claiming that he's owed "tens of millions of dollars of profits" from the show.

In the lawsuit filed on Tuesday, December 17 in New York state court, Darabont accuses the cable channel of breach of contract. It's additionally hinted that his abrupt exit in July 2011 was partly caused by a standoff over Darabont's profit participation, which has been ongoing since February the same year.

A fourth installment of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" book series is in the works. David Lagercrantz is tapped to write a new story about Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomqvist, the characters created by the late Swedish author Stieg Larsson.

The original author had allegedly started working on a fourth novel when he died in 2004 from heart attack at the age of 50. "We have now decided to let somebody take over and tell what happened next," said Eva Gedin from Swedish publishing house Norstedts.
