It's HOT. Paris Hilton ends her 5-month engagement to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis. US Weekly claimed to have a statement released by the hotel heiress, quoting "I'm sad to announce that I've called off my engagement. Over the last couple months I've realized that this is the right decision for me. We remain best of friends, and I'll always love him. I hope people will respect my privacy during this emotional time." We better do then.

The 22-years-old Latsis gave his 2-years senior girlfriend a 24 carat, $5 million diamond engagement ring. And following the split news, there hasn't further details on what would happen to the ring.

Hollywood Gives Theron a Star

Movie babe Charlize Theron is reaching the peak of her career as she's listed as one of the honorees deserves for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Also set to receive a star at the Hollywood Awards gala on October 24 in Los Angeles is actor Joaquin Phoenix.

Theron will be named Best Actress for her performance in "North Country" as a miner fighting sexual harassment. Phoenix, meanwhile, will be crowned Actor of the Year for his portrayal as Johnny Cash in biopic "Walk the Line." Congrats friends.

Crow To Wed

Has found the one and it's Lance Armstrong. So, Sheryl Crow won't wait any longer. The singer reportedly will marry her cyclist long-term boyfriend in a spring wedding at Santa Barbara's luxury Bacara Resort. As said by a source, both will exchange the vow in April at the swanky Californian resort, the same place where Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears had ever planned to have their wedding there.

For her wedding outfit Crow told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "My wedding dress is going to be made by Ralph Lauren. Ralph is a very old friend of mine and I'm really flattered that he's agreed to do it because he has only made wedding gowns for a couple of people before." Still according to a source, "Everything from the dress down to the candles and flatware will be from his collections."

Usher's Project Restart

Beyond his musical career and busy personal life, Grammy Award winning superstar Usher does care about his country, more the people. To bring to life his concern, he announced Thursday he will headline 'Project Restart,' a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Says Usher, "When I thought about what I could do to help, I decided that I wanted to do something direct and personal for the evacuees." In the benefit concert, to be held October 9 in Atlanta, GA at Philips Arena, the R&B singer will perform several songs with some of his celebrity friends to make special guest appearances. Who are they? It will shortly confirm.

Is socialite Paris Hilton that inspiring? Well, for Lindsay Lohan the answer would clearly be yes. The hotel heiress' recent Vanity Fair cover, in which she's topless and covering her breasts with her arms, has inspired the "Mean Girls" star to bare all for the same magazine.

Per America's In Touch magazine, Lohan shot the top-secret cover photo on a beach in Malibu, California last week - and it was actually her idea to pose naked. In some of the Vanity Fair photos, she reportedly mimics her idol, Marilyn Monroe.

The Woodstock Film Festival will have its 6th annual fete held Wednesday through Sunday and, as co-founder Meira Blaustein said, is expecting to attract more than 10,000 people, yet aims to remain true to its independent roots. "It's not our goal to become huge. We don't want to be huge, we want to be high quality," so she said in a statement.

The annual event will among others include "Winter Passing," starring Zooey Deschanel, Will Ferrell and Ed Harris; Atom Egoyan's "Where the Truth Lies," starring Kevin Bacon and Colin Firth; "Lonesome Jim," directed by Steve Buscemi and starring Casey Affleck and Liv Tyler; and the historical drama "Fateless" about Hungarian Jews during the Holocaust.

No body's perfect. Music group The Beatles, who has made countless success with their many hits, once falls fail too. This actually something common, yet seemingly uncommon at all just because the one makes the failure is The Beatles.

Anyway, it is about John Lennon's hand-written lyrics for The Beatles song "I'm Only Sleeping," which sadly failed to sell at the auction by Christie's in London on Wednesday. The 17 lines lyrics, written in blue felt pen, had been expected to sell for up to 200,000 pounds. Unfortunately, it failed to reach the target. What a pity.

Coldplay Tops MTV Award Nominations

British bands Coldplay and Gorillaz will probably becoming the big winners at the 2005 MTV Europe Music Awards after securing five nominations each. As for Coldplay, the band vying for Best Group, Best Rock, Best Song for "Speed of Sound," Best Album and Best UK and Ireland Act. Whereas, the animated band Gorillaz are up for Best Group, Best Song, Best Video for "Feel Good Inc," Best Pop, and Best UK and Ireland Act.

The 12th annual event, to be hosted by British comic Sacha Baron Cohen, will be held Nov. 3 in Lisbon and be broadcast live on MTV in Europe and the United States. Worldwide music fanatics can vote the winners via MTV's websites, except for Best Video and Free Your Mind, which are chosen exclusively by MTV Europe viewers. Joining Coldplay to perform at the event among others are Foo Fighters, Green Day, Robbie Williams and the Black Eyed Peas.

So said Sophia Bush speaking about her split with husband of five months, Chad Michael Murray. The couple was married in April during a seaside ceremony in Santa Monica and called it quit after merely five months of marriage.

Murray himself said "I am saddened to announce that Sophia and I are separating. This is a very difficult time for me." No other details on the separation so far.

Kathy Griffin Seeks Divorce

Kathy Griffin, comedian who has appeared on such TV shows as "Seinfeld" and "Suddenly Susan," has filed for divorce from husband Matt Moline after 4 1/2 years of marriage. In the divorce papers, filed Friday in Superior Court, Griffin cites irreconcilable differences as the cause besides asking the couple's assets be divided and that Moline be denied spousal support.
