Nelly Goes Beyond Rap

For Nelly life isn't merely about rap. Rapping indeed isn't everything for him and so he steps his feet beyond, inked a deal to develop a reality television series with A. Smith & Co. Productions that was announced Wednesday. The show will be a journal of "the day-to-day life" of the hip-hop rap artist.

Speaking about his new project, Nelly said "I look forward to showing my fans what my world is about and bringing more attention to my nonprofit organizations." The show is on target to be on air sometime next year.

New Woman on Clooney's Love Life

Just three months after his split from British TV presenter Lisa Snowdon, actor George Clooney has been reported to find a new woman. It's Italian heiress Gianna Elvira Cantatore, with whom he reportedly closes with.

Clooney reportedly dating Gianna since they met through mutual friends. As a source tells British magazine Star, "He met her over dinner at a hotel near his villa in Lake Como. Gianna had a bouquet of white daisies delivered to him the next day. He has even met her family."

John Stamos to Appear on ER

Not only his former wife Rebecca Romijn that sparks news, John Stamos does too. The star is slated to guest star on two episodes of "ER" this season, playing a character who is a veteran of the first Gulf war as well as working his way through med school as a paramedic.

"I'm a big fan of the show and (executive producer) John Wells, and we have been trying to work together for a long time . . . I appreciate that everyone was able to work it out so I could do this great guest spot on ER in time to start the second season of "Jake in Progress." So said Stamos.

JD the New INXS Singer

Australian band INXS ending their long journey looking for the right person to fill the right place in their formation. And they come up with J.D. Fortune, publicly declared him as their new singer on CBS' "Rock Star: INXS" Tuesday, ending 13 weeks of American Idol-style competition among 15 performers.

"He's very passionate," said bassist Beers about the Canadian singer. "He's got a lot of energy. And we feel comfortable about what he's going to bring to INXS and appreciate what we are offering him more than anybody. He's now an equal member of the brain trust of INXS performance-wise and in the studio. And that will unfold as we go along."

Auctioned; John Lennon's 1956 Austin Princess

Complete with Lennon-signed registration, the car is valued at $200,000 to $300,000.

Other items offered at the auction, to conclude live Oct. 29 in Las Vegas, include the white suit Lennon wore for The Beatles' "Abbey Road" crosswalk album cover, the embroidered jacket he wore in "Imagine," Marilyn Monroe's 1961 daily appointment book, her personal phone and address book and Charlie Chaplin's grandfather clock, used in his 1918 short film, "How to Make Movies."

Mellencamp Among Rock Hall Contenders

Heartland rocker John Mellencamp has been chosen as one of this year inductees at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Joining him is jazz legend Miles Davis and rap pioneers Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five who also considered for the 21st class of Rock Hall.

Inductees, among others include Buddy Guy, the O'Jays, the Pretenders, Percy Sledge and U2, are selected by a panel of musicians, music industry professionals and journalists. Results will be announced before the end of the year with formal induction traditionally taking place in March at a ceremony in New York.

Hennes & Mauritz Dropped Moss

Kate Moss, the model, was counting the cost of her party lifestyle Tuesday after Swedish clothing chain Hennes & Mauritz announced that it was dropping her from a forthcoming advertising campaign. Moss actually is planned to help launch a new collection designed by Stella McCartney that will hit stores in 22 countries in November.

Yet, the Europe's largest fashion retailer, which had last week decided to give her a second chance, changed its mind because of its connection to a charity dedicated to the prevention of drug abuse. Company spokeswoman Liv Asarnoj said Tuesday that "after evaluating the situation, we have decided that a campaign with Kate Moss is not consistent with H&M's clear disassociation from drugs." Thus, they will call in another model for the campaign, Asarnoj added.

Rebecca Romijn & Jerry O'Connell to Get Married

Hollywood star Rebecca Romijn and boyfriend Jerry O'Connell have engaged over the weekend in New York after dating for a year. They say in a joint statement, "We couldn't be happier and are looking forward to the next chapter of our lives."

Robert Plants Performance in Pearl Jam's Show

The show, which is held at the 1,300-capacity venue, will mark the final show of the band's North American tour before it begins a Latin American leg in Santiago, Chile on November 22. As for Plant, who is currently touring North America with his band the Strange Sensation, will squeeze the show in between an October 4 stop in New Mexico and an October 6 date in Texas.

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe is going to bring to live his love to rugby. He is in negotiations to buy a franchise in Australia's National Rugby League competition, officials of the targeted South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed, and the negotiations could continue for at least a month.

Crowe and local businessman Peter Holmes a Court want to buy a stake in the club or become outright owners, as the star confirmed to The Australian Associated Press "I'd like to buy the club. ... You're actually talking about rugby league fantasy stuff. Yeah, I'd like to be able to have a situation like they do in America - they have individual owners."

Participating at the 20th annual benefit concert of Farm Aid on Sunday, Neil Young along with other performers successfully collected $1.3 million in ticket sales in their effort to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Young sang Fats Domino's "Walking to New Orleans" and his rarely performed tunes of "Southern Man" after thanking the audience for their support of Farm Aid's Gulf Coast relief effort.


Moss Still in H&M

It is such a relief for Kate Moss as she continues to be the H&M's model after her apology was accepted by the Swedish company. Caught red-handed of snorting cocaine, the skinny supermodel has earnestly shown her regret to high street fashion house which is known for its anti-drugs policy.

Although disappointed with Moss behavior, H&M has been willing to still use her in its advertising campaign. "She has assured us it will not happen again, and we are willing to give her another chance," said the H&M spokesperson, Anacarin Bjorne. Lucky for you, Moss.

Rodriguez in the "Lost" List

Briefly appearing in a flashback scene on the season finale of "Lost", Michelle Rodriguez positively got her role back as she has been included in the cast of this popular series for its second season. She previously portrayed one of the passengers of the crashed airplane named Ana-Lucia Cortez who flirted with Jack, played by Matthew Fox, at an airport bar in Sydney, Australia.

Nevertheless, it occurred to her that she had no idea of the future of her character. "I don't know what the writers have in store for me," she said. "That's why I like it so much. Maybe I don't want to know." As for the series itself, its second season will be aired on Wednesday.

It's probably the baby thing that has ignited Renee Zellweger to file for an annulment. According to Mail on Sunday, the actress desperately wanted to start a family while her husband, Kenny Chesney, has thought otherwise.

A source close to the Bridget Jones star has revealed that she was longing for a baby, yet Chesney wanted to wait. "Her biological clock is ticking loudly," said the source. "She is desperate to have children. Renee's understanding was that Kenny wanted a family too. It was Kenny who got cold feet."

Crue Keeps on Track

In spite of the injury happened to its lead singer, Vince Neil, Motley Crue sticks to their plan to continue their Carnival of Sin reunion tour. Neil previously has been reported to break his leg after slipping off stage during the band's show on Friday night in Atlanta. The concert then had to be ended earlier as he was carried to Piedmont Hospital.

Instead of taking some rest to heal, Neil, along with the other personnel, has confirmed that no shows were being canceled. The band even has intended to hold a make-up concert in Atlanta. "He will be able to perform, but can't really jump around until it heals," bassist Nikki Sixx commented on Neil's condition. "Luckily, we have a few days off here and there for him to recover."
