Into the Wild Comments

This movie is by far, my favorie. The fact that he needs more than just living like everyone else, that he wants to escape a society full of rules, it's so amazing everything he goes through, the people he meets, the landscape he sees. Such an amazing story, despite the tragic ending. The book is excellent as well. I think that Emile Hirsch just signed his master piece as Christophe McCandless.

The sadness just behind the eyes of the lead play to the agony of this young man. Alexander Supertramp needs to lose the world as known and find peace in the wilds of Alaska. We travel with him and find our own pains bubbling to the surface. this journey is one best taken with someone that loves you. I hope that when the time comes the Oscar will find the hands of many of those that brought this story to life!
