June 16, 2008 09:06:19The 6th annual TV Land Awards was a star-studded event Sunday, June 15. The awards show, which was held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, honored the best movies, and some good TV shows. Singer-songwriter and actress Vanessa Williams, who served as host, sang "I'm Flying" from the 2003 adventure flick "Peter Pan."
Comedians Mike Myers and Jonathan Winters were among the honorees. Myers received the Lucille Ball-Legacy of Laughter Award from Justin Timberlake, his co-star in "The Love Guru." Winters, elsewhere, was bestowed the Pioneer Award.

TV Guide writer Carol Dittbrenner claims it was the haircut Dempsey sports that secured him the top spot. "With Patrick Dempsey, he has a huge, thick head of hair and you just want to run your fingers through it!" so she said.
Tyler Perry's 'House of Payne' Took Top Honors at the 39th Annual NAACP Image Awards

The awards show, took place Thursday, February 14 at the Shrine Auditorium, saw TBS' sitcom "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" won three top honors in the TV categories, mainly for Comedy Series, Actor in a Comedy Series for LaVan Davis, and Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Lance Gross.
CW Network's sitcom "Everybody Hates Chris" which was one of the leading award nominees with six nods, unfortunately, walked away with just one award which was for the category of Writing in a Comedy Series for Ali LeRoi. The other leading nominee "Girlfriends" which was up for six nods as well, sad to say, experienced worse fate as it won none.
2007 Satellite Awards TV Winners Unveiled

The popular drama series nabbed three awards all at once, they were Television Series, Drama; Actor in a Series Drama which went to Michael C. Hall; and Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for David Zayas.

The actress, who plays a villainous magazine editor on the TV show "Ugly Betty", received the 2,331st star. Fellow cast members from the TV show, including co-star Rebecca Romijn, showed up to cheer for her at the ceremony took place in front of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Unlike the Penthouse shots, which showed Williams engaged in sexual acts with another woman, her posing for Allure magazine's May "Look Better Naked Issue" won't be too raunchy though an insider at Conde Nast said she was completely unclothed for the shoot at Lux Studio.
