'The Italian Job' Sequel Plausible to Be Shelved
September 10, 2008 02:09:16"The Brazilian Job", a planned follow up to 2003 crime thriller "The Italian Job", may not be happening after all. According to EW's Insider Blog, Seth Green, one of the first film's cast members, has put up the suggestion saying, "That's been listed as 'In Production' for over four years, and maybe you'll print this and someone will actually stop saying that!"
On the holding up of the sequel, Green blamed it on a series of turnover happened in Paramount. "There are a couple of scripts that have been written, but in the last six years since we made the movie," he explained, "Paramount's hierarchy has changed hands four times and it's never seemed to be a priority for the studio to make the movie." He then added, "You would think that they would make the movie. There's enough of a fan outcry for it, but we just haven't been able to get the studio to greenlight it."

The rap mogul is having his Miller Enterprises teaming up with actor Seth Green and partner Matthew Senreich's Stoopid Monkey Productions as well as Shadow MachineFilms to develop an entertainment industry-themed 3-D video game titled "Play the Industry" that will allow players to climb the ranks of stardom as an athlete, hip-hop artist, or entertainment broker.

Not shying away from film cameras anymore, Seth Green has secured a starring part in Walt Disney Pictures' buddy comedy "nOld Dogs" which John Travolta and Robin Williams are poised to topline, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
Here the actor, known for his role of Scott Evil in "Austin Powers" series, will portray an executive with the global marketing firm run by Travolta and Williams' characters. As they are closing a big deal with a Japanese conglomerate, he is eager to prepare for his move to Tokyo and show off his Harvard MBA and Japanese cultural skills.
