October 24, 2009 10:10:51After being absent from honoring musicians in 2008, Soul Train Music Awards comes back this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Motown Records. Nominations for the upcoming event have been announced, revealing that Beyonce Knowles, Maxwell and Keri Hilson lead the pack with four nods each.
The three of them compete against each other in Song of the Year and Record of the Year. In addition, both Beyonce and Maxwell are also up for Album of the Year. Beyonce and Maxwell get their fourth kudos in Best Female and Male R&B/Soul Artist respectively. As for Keri, she receives her two other nominations in Best New Artist and Best Collaboration.

September 05, 2009 11:09:59Singer/music producer Ryan Leslie has released a new single called "You're Not My Girl" in advance of his forthcoming album "Transition". As a promotional project for the track, an accompanying music video has just been outed for public viewing pleasure.
Applying dark theme, the newly-unveiled video sees Ryan sitting behind the piano inside a dimmed building. In addition to the band who support his performance, several sexy women are also brought in, showing off provocative moves.
2009 BET Awards Nominations Revealed, Lil Wayne and T.I. Lead the Pack
May 13, 2009 09:05:42Nomination recipients for this year's BET Awards have been announced at "106 & Park" on May 12, and grabbing the most nods were rappers Lil Wayne and T.I.. The two musicians received five nominations each.
Among the five gongs, Weezy and T.I. are set to face off against each other in two fields, Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Viewer's Choice. In those categories, they are joined by such contenders as Rick Ross, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Beyonce Knowles, Keri Hilson, Soulja Boy, Rihanna and T-Pain.

The song is slated to appear among other tracks in his upcoming self-titled album, which is confirmed to be released on October 17 via Universal Music Group.
The song mostly speaks of the singer, trying to get a girl that he has a crush on. The verses continue revealing that after asking her to a romantic dancing party, Ryan takes the girl to a hotel for a one-night stand.

September 08, 2008 01:09:14One of Universal Records' singers, Ryan Leslie has just released a music video in an attempt to promote his second single "Addiction", in which he has teamed up with R&B singer Cassie and rapper Fabolous. The song, which is categorized as an R&B and soul song, appears in the singer's self-titled album, which is scheduled for release on September 26.
The music video for the song is directed by Diane Martel and, as Ryan says, talks about the beauty of simplicity. "I'm not wearing a tuxedo or even a suit in the clip. Director Diane Martel assured me that this one should be all about the beauty of simplicity," he says as posted on his MySpace page.

April 07, 2008 10:04:13Producer turns singer Ryan Leslie will release a self-titled debut album on June 17 via Universal Motown/NextSelection and the first single confirmed to be lifted from the effort is "Diamond Girl". A music video for the song has been premiered on BET's 106 & Park on Friday, April 4.
The clip directed by Chris Robinson simply shows classic-looking Leslie performing the song on-stage and backed up with a full band. Leslie recently premiered the new single on BET's Spring Bling which is slated to air later this month. "Diamond Girl" which is available on iTunes and other music outlets has entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #95.
