Poison to Release Another Live Recording Album
August 05, 2008 12:08:24American rock band Poison set a release date for upcoming live recording album "Seven Days Live". The album which will be released under Armoury Records, is due out on August 26.
This album is a live compilation recorded before former guitarist Richie Kotzen left the band. It includes such classic tracks as "Ride the Wind", "Something to Believe in", and "Stand".
Poison Sued Label for Breach of Contract
June 19, 2008 03:06:25Glam rock band Poison adds to the list of musicians that are having problems with their record label as they have just filled in a lawsuit for their company Capitol Records. According to the document posted by TMZ.com, the band alleged that the record company haven't pay enough amount of their royalties for years.
Not only that the band also claimed that the company have also shortchanged them over the contract deal that the band made in 2005 for the rocker's greatest hit album "The Best of Poison: 20 Years of Rock". On the lawsuit, which is filled at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, June 18, the band sued Capitol Records for breach of contract and also asking damages in excess worth $25, 000 .
Poison Reveals Cover Album Tracks

An important detail is coming up from glam metal band Poison's newest album "Poison'd!". The album that offers a selection of classic rock tune covers has revealed its heavily anticipated tracklisting. The 13 tracks are ranging from David Bowie's "Suffragete City" up to Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band".
On January 3, the band posted on their official My Space page that they need the help from fans to pick songs for the album. Some suggested the band covering Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird," Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," and AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long". None of the songs was included in the record along with the obvious suggestion of Alice Cooper's "Poison." The band however kept Sweet and Alice Cooper in mind and decided to do their other songs.
Poison and Ratt Slams Stages Together

For the first time in 8 years, Ratt and Poison will hit the road together again. The itinerary is part of their summer tour that begins June 13 at Bi Lo Center, Greenville, S.C. and ends August 19 at Coors Amphitheatre, Denver.
Troy Blakely of the Agency of Performing Arts said that there will be about 50 to 60 dates within the schedule where 30 to 35 of them are comprised of various festivals, fairs and indoor shows. Among the confirmed ones are gigs at Birmingham, Ala.'s City Stages on June 16, Bay City, Mich.'s Bay City River Roar on June 22, Pryor, Okla.'s Rocklahoma on July 13 and Sturgis, S.D.'s Buffalo Chip on August 5.
