Ozzy Osbourne Had Flu and Rescheduled Portland Gig

A spokeswoman said that the original tickets will still be valid for the new schedule. He is also offering discounted tickets to his concert in Worcester, Massachusetts on Tuesday, January 8 for Portland fans. Those interested can go to Ticketmaster.com and type the password 'portland'.

Ozzy Osbourne is recuperating after having a blood clot surgery.
The rocker was in Colorado for Ozzfest 2007, which took place at Coors Amphitheatre on Saturday July 28th when he was complaining of leg pain for most of the day. Following the show's end, Osbourne was taken to Rose Medical Center where he later on underwent surgery on his leg for a blood clot.

A new direction to Korn's highly anticipated album has been unveiled. The nu metal band may have a set of songs that are fully covers for the untitled album that is arriving July 31 via Virgin.
Frontman Jonathan Davis told Billboard, "We've already done, like, 'Love My Way' from Psychedelic Furs. We've done 'We Care a Lot' from Faith No More [and Nine Inch Nails'] 'Head Like a Hole.' Those are already recorded. We just gotta get in and do some more."

Not stopping at giving free tickets, Ozzy Osbourne's "Ozzfest" will now upgrade the seats. Announcing the good news, Ozzy's wife Sharon Osbourne informed that 3,000 tickets for each of the 24 dates will offer pavilion spots and seats that are placed on the stage.
Sharon explained, "On the day of the show you can get to different booths, enter a lottery and get upgraded. We'll be upgrading throughout the day, 3,000 people. That's a lot of people to upgrade." The show that will kick off July 12 in Auburn, Wash. will start later than previous years. The door will be officially opened at 10.30 A.M. and therefore those who want to get their tickets upgraded must come earlier than that.

R. Kelly Scored #1 with "Double Up"

As expected, R. Kelly's "Double Up" opened at #1 on Billboard Hot 200 chart this week with nearly 368,000 copies sold. The release of this record makes his eight solo album to enter the chart at either #1 or #2.

The 2008 series of "Madden NFL" video game will feature the song from Black Sabbath's former frontman Ozzy Osbourne. Taken from his latest album "Black Rain", the song "I Don't Wanna Stop" will be the theme song of the highly popular game franchise.

With "Black Rain" coming out on May 22, Ozzy Osbourne managed to take some time off thinking about Black Sabbath. Though is strong as a solo artist, the quirky singer is longing for the band's reunion that he believed only coming to sense when he fronted it.
"It would be so easy for us to get in and out of a studio and make an album. But if it's not up to the par of when I left, why do it? It will destroy the f***ing legacy of Black Sabbath, and the legend of Black Sabbath," he said in an interview. Ozzy was asked to leave the band in 1979 after internal conflicts and an evident lack of commitment occurred. Rainbow's Ronnie James Dio then filled in his position.

Members playing in this performance are Tony Iommy, Geezer Butler, Vinny Appice, and vocalist Ronnie James Dio. "You can call us 'Mayor Koch' if you want to. What we're called doesn't matter, but on the Internet they call us Black Sabbath, because that's really what we are," Dio said on behalf of the 1980s lineup. "They were virtually a nonentity when we did 'Heaven and Hell'. My inclusion put a different signature on the band and captured the imagination of people who had no idea what came before," he added.

Estrange couple Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne is ready to launch the 2007 Ozzfest tour. Among the bands tapped to perform alongside Ozzy are Grammy nominated groove metal band Lamb of God, heavy metal band Lordi and also metalcore band Hatebreed.
Following the tradition that none of the performers will get paid, these three bands will be Ozzy's tour mates in the 24 cities tour that starts from July 12 in Seattle and ends on August 30 in West Palm Beach. The remaining members of heavy metal band Black Sabbath are coming back. Yet as of this time the boys, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Ronnie James Dio, are all hitting the road as Heaven and Hell and not as Black Sabbath anymore.
A press release was issued Wednesday Oct 25th announcing that Ronnie James Dio, who replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath during the early '80s, is officially in. Still according to the press release, "after various promoters have approached their respective management, the guys have started taking all of this very seriously, as they have wanted to reunite for some time now...If all goes well, Heaven And Hell should be hitting the road in early 2007."

The annual Ozzfest hard-rock tour is coming and names included in the lineup slated to perform at the event have also been announced. Ozzy Osbourne is one among many who has been tapped to perform for 10 shows. The singer will be teamed up with such musicians as System of a Down, Disturbed, Hatebreed, Lacuna Coil and another major act to be announced on May 23.
The tour, begins July 1 in San Francisco, will play at least 20 cities. Next Monday Ozzy Osbourne will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during a New York ceremony. That's only the beginning of a brand new start. The Prince of Darkness, furthermore, is eyeing a comeback to the studio.
Plans on returning to the recording studio sometimes this year, Ozzy told Billboard.com. "I'm gonna get with (guitarist) Zakk Wylde soon and start hopefully writing a new studio (album). I've gotta get a studio album this year. I'm well overdue."

Fortunately, Osbourne tend to perceive Rasputin as a spiritual ancestor, so the process soon then began. He says "I always wanted to do a musical for the West End or Broadway. If it gets picked up it gets picked up, but it was a lot of fun to do anyway."

Ozzy Osbourne is set to cover John Lennon's "Woman," Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way" and the Moody Blues' "Go Now" under his new album. Dubbed "Under Cover," the set is a Dualdisc and will marry the street November 1 via Epic Records.
The three components actually is a follow up to the remaining 10 cuts that were released this year on the "Under Covers" disc of Osbourne's boxed set "Prince of Darkness." As of the forthcoming DVD set, it will feature the featurette "Dinner With Ozzy and Friends," which finds him regaling his son Jack Osbourne and Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister with tales of rock'n'roll excess. A video for Ozzy's cover of The Beatles' "In My Life" is also included.
No Osbourne as Headliner at OzzFest

On Friday, August 12, the Black Sabbath frontman stated that this year would be the last time he headlines the festival, either with his band or as a solo performer. "After 10 years, the OzzFest's name and reputation have been established. It's time for me to move on and do other things," he announced. In this announcement, it has been said that OzzFest would return in 2006, but Osbourne himself would limit his performances to only a few selected cities.
The festival will be held on August 15 in Marysville, California, and on August 18 in Phoenix, Arizona. It was co-founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 1996 as a one-time, two-day event.

The rocker was firstly diagnosed with the disease in 2003, after he complained his tremors were "practically destroying (his) life".
He, at first, thought his body shakes were caused by a lifetime of drug abuse, until doctors voiced he has inherited the condition from his relatives. This was later strengthen by his sisters, who at the end revealed that his mother, aunty, and grandmother had had the same disease with him.

Fire at Ozzy Osbourne House
April 01, 2005 09:04:32Rocker and reality TV star Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon were forced to flee when a fire broke out in their mansion at Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, last Friday March 25, 2005. They were in bed when a fire broke out in the living room after the heat from a fireplace burned wood panelling. Two fire engines immediately arrived on the scene and four firefighters wearing breathing apparatuses entered the mansion and put out the flames.
Ozzy and Sharon were spotted took shelter outside in a garden along with their pets. Their children, Jack and Kelly, were not there at the time the incident happened. Luckily, no one was seriously injured, except three members of their domestic staff--two men and one woman--were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
