In Best Song, Beyonce's "Halo" beat such hit singles as Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling", David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over", Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" and Lady GaGa's "Poker Face". For Best Female meanwhile, she dethroned Katy, Leona Lewis, Shakira and pushed aside Lady GaGa once again.
Lady GaGa Leads 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards Noms
September 22, 2009 10:09:30Those acts crowding the nominations list of MTV Europe Music Awards this year have been unearthed with U.S. artists in domination. One in particular is Lady GaGa who has made her triumph at recent MTV Video Music Awards. The "Just Dance" singer is taking five nominations, the same amount that Kings of Leon grab.
GaGa is placed under Best Song category for "Poker Face", Best Live Act and Best Female among others. In all three categories, she has to battle them out with Beyonce Knowles who puts up front her single "Halo". Beyonce herself is up for four nominations, one in Best Video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".

This rock band received two kudos at the annual awards. They were named Best International Band, winning over Green Day, Metallica, Madina Lake and Lamb of God. They also got Best Live Band title, beating Metallica, Enter Shikari, The Prodigy and Gallows.

Linkin Park's live appearance aside, the special screening event for Shia LaBeouf-starring movie was hosted by 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival on Monday, June 22. Beside Linkin Park, other musicians hitting the red carpet event included Ciara, Aubrey O'Day and Travis Barker. On the day they filmed the video, Mike Shinoda said, "I'm trying my best like hang on at the keyboard and still playing the part, like I'm hold in every direction by these people [crew]." Mike also opened up about its concept, "[Joe] is planning on using a lot of really interesting cutting-edge visual techniques, blurring the line between our performance and some kind of digital/mechanical reality."

Chester Bennington Sick, Linkin Park Cancel Upcoming Shows

"Linkin Park has been forced to cancel their upcoming Music For Relief Concerts in Mainland China, Macau and Taipei as lead vocalist Chester Bennington has sustained a back injury and is under doctor's orders to refrain from traveling or any physical activities," the band issue a statement on their official website.
The scheduled shows were supposed to be fund-raising concerts to help those affected by the earthquake that struck the Chinese province of Sichuan in last May. Regardless the scrapped shows, the band and the concert promoters have made a donation to compensate for the loss of money that should have been raised through ticket sales of the concert. "Thanks to generous donations from concert promoter Emma Ticketmaster and Linkin Park, funds will still be contributed to the band's nonprofit organization, Music for Relief, and matched by the World Bank," the band state.
'Twilight' OST Track Listing Uncovered

On Monday, October 6, Chop Shop Records has announced all of the artists taking part to create the signature tunes for the vampire romance flick as well as the title of the songs. Musicians from Muse and Linkin Park to Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell and composer Carter Burwell are several of the talented people behind the tracks.
The unveiling of the list has also answered speculations that Muse will contribute a track for the soundtrack. In it, they will present "Supermassive Black Hole", their first single from their fourth album, "Black Holes & Revelations". Linkin Park Take Jay-Z to Projekt Revolution Tour

Japan's Live Earth has a strong musician headlining its leg. Chart-buster Linkin Park is officially made the artist flying to Japan to promote the fight against global warming in the July 7 concert.

2006 is the actual date that music group Linkin Park eyed for the release of their new album, the follow up to their 2003 "Meteora". Yet, they have to unfortunately delay the release of the new set until next year concerning the recording that fell behind schedule.
Speaking on their website, band member Mike Shinoda said of the Rick Rubin produced album "We're doing well, we just need a little more time." Also he continued, "We have narrowed it down to about 30-50 songs, and some of those are heavy, some are softer and some are in between. So far it has a different sound that I cannot describe."

Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington is fathering again. His wife Talinda has on Thursday March 16th, 2006 given birth to a baby boy.
The newly born weighed in at 9-pound, 3-ounce and was named Tyler Lee. To note, Bennington has had two other sons: 10-year-old Jaime with Talinda and 4-year-old Draven from a previous marriage.

While Linkin Park's talent is without question, the band's management is using fictitious numbers and making baseless charges and inflammatory threats in what is clearly a negotiating tactic." Linkin Park, who still having a four-album commitment left to go on its current contract, was not available for comment.
