Korn Found Munky's Replacement for European Tour

have found the replacement for guitarist James "Munky"Shaffer who announced his time out from the band earlier this week. According to HardDrive Radio, the nu metal band that have just started their European tour, hired Rob Patterson as their guitarist and opted Ray Luzier as their drummer, sitting for David Silveria who took an indefinite hiatus in 2006.

"Yeah, I'm the new drummer for Korn now," Luzier told Ultimate-Guitar.com. "We start in Dublin, Ireland on the 13th of this month and we have a big world tour coming up right now. We're going everywhere, all over the U.K. and we're going to go to Dubai, South Africa, Russia. It's a crazy tour." Patterson was the band's supporting guitarist during Family Value Tour 2006 while Luzier was formerly in Army of Anyone. Their status is limited to being the touring members, not the official ones. After all there is still possibility that Munky will return to the band.

If Terry Bozzio cited "personal conflicts" as the reason he left , the band's guitarist James Shaffer went for details. Shaffer revealed that Bozzio departed after the drummer made "offensive" demand to the band.

“There were certain demands that he made," Shaffer spoke. "We weren't ready to meet those demands. He was a great guy and a phenomenal drummer but the demands that he made were offensive. He wanted to be a member of the band, and that included ownership. We were like, 'What, you want to have 25 per cent of everything?' We can't just sign away the right to music on a whim."

Korn Selecting Songs to Cover for New Album

A new direction to 's highly anticipated album has been unveiled. The nu metal band may have a set of songs that are fully covers for the untitled album that is arriving July 31 via Virgin.

Frontman Jonathan Davis told Billboard, "We've already done, like, 'Love My Way' from Psychedelic Furs. We've done 'We Care a Lot' from Faith No More [and '] 'Head Like a Hole.' Those are already recorded. We just gotta get in and do some more."

Rock band will have two new projects out within this year. Frontman, Jonathan Davis, confirmed the report saying the band will first of all have their "" hit the stores on March 6. The special will first appear online on MTV.com on February 24, then air on the network in March.

Rap-rock band has to unfortunately cancel the remaining dates of its European tour after frontman Jonathan Davis was hospitalized and diagnosed with a blood disorder.

Explaining on his latest condition, in a post on the band's official Website, the singer told fans he had checked into a London hospital following Saturday's gig at the U.K.'s Download Festival. Doctors told him he had immune thrombocytopenic purpura, an infection that prevents platelets produced by bone marrow from clotting normally.

Music group and its touring guitarist Rob Patterson have both parted ways. Patterson was hired as Korn's touring guitarist last summer after founding axe-man Brian Welch left the group in early 2005, that's for everybody to know.

And due to such fact, a replacement guitarist who was not immediately identified has already been secured and is currently out with the band on its European tour. Though so, Patterson, who supposed to remain offstage, did appear onstage during Korn's recent North American tour.

Rock star has inked a deal with Virgin Records that covers a recording deal and a partnership with parent company EMI Music for touring, music publishing, merchandising and sponsorship. Per EMI, the deal is modeled on its arrangement with U.K. notable singer , in which both parties benefit from the revenue generated by non-album activities.

Korn guitarist, Brian Welch has decided to quit from the heavy metal act band whom he had joined with for the past 13 years. He's found Jesus Christ, his saviour and thus he wants to pursue a life with Him and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end, CA rock station KRAB-FM announced on Sunday on Bakersfield.

In an official letter of resignation from the band on February 8th, Welch says that he remains good friends with Korn who, according to him, respect his wishes and hope his happiness in the same way he loves those guys in the group. Further, Welch promising for an explanation of his reasons for leaving and future plans in this Sunday February 27th, when he attends the congregation at the Valley Bible Fellowship in Bakersfield, California.
