NBC to Feature Jon Bon Jovi Prominently for Two Months
October 15, 2009 10:10:41In a new breakthrough, NBC has hired a particular artist to be featured prominently for two straight months. Jon Bon Jovi is selected to be the first "artist in residence" to appear in several shows by NBC Universal including Bravo TV. The deal means that the singer will not show his face in other shows by other networks.
Jon agreed to do the exclusive appearances as he is in need to shake the conventional way of promoting a new album. He and his band Bon Jovi will release "The Circle" on November 10. "Of course you usually try to be out there everywhere, when a new album is coming out," Jon told NY Times. "So we have to sacrifice certain shows and relationships. We hope this doesn't jeopardize any of them. But in a shrinking media environment, you have to kind of reinvent the wheel."
Jon Bon Jovi Goes Home to Headline Charity Gig

Tickets that have been sold starting from yesterday (November 27) are ranging from $100 - $500. Proceeds will benefit The Valerie Fund Center at Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch that aid children with cancer and blood disorder.

Last seen on the big screen in 2005's "Cry Wolf", rocker Jon Bon Jovi is making his way back to the film business, only this time as a producer instead of a star, Variety has revealed.
Thereby marking his first venture behind the camera, the Perth Amboy, New Jersey native will produce a new drama feature entitled "Almost Home" alongside his music managers Jack Rovner and Ken Levitan. Pic turns out to be a movie adaptation of Jessica Blank's fiction debut of the same name slated to hit stores October 23 under Disney's Hyperion Books for Children.

What a name. But for Jon Bon Jovi name does matter. The rocker doesn't approve of Mijovi energy drink which he claimed sounds similar to his name and might confuse fans. He thus asked the drink maker to change its name.
Jon Bon Jovi has, through his lawyer Peter Laird , filed a legal paper on January 22nd, expressing his objection to the use of word "Mijovi" as well as other words "itsmijovi" and "itsmilife" that appear in the company's marketing materials and on the can for the caffeine-based beverage. Apparently, instead of using the actual spelling, the letter used the phrases, "It's My Jovi" and "It's My Life."

The newly created Habitat for Humanity Ambassador Program has officially recruited Jon Bon Jovi as its first Founding Ambassador. The honor reportedly is given to the rocker mainly for his numerous efforts for Habit for Humanity International since the year of 2005.
"We couldn't be more pleased that Jon Bon Jovi has agreed to become the first Habitat for Humanity Ambassador," Habitat for Humanity International Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Reckford said.
