Big names in Hollywood movie industry showed up to the gala ceremony, including mega-watt couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
The longtime partners walked the red carpet together and drew huge cheers. Jolie was snapped donning a black silk crepe Giorgio Armani evening gown. She finished off her look with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels and a bracelet and diamond-studded earrings, both from Asprey. Pitt, meanwhile, wore Tom Ford tuxedo.

October 29, 2008 01:10:02Halloween celebration came early for Kate Hudson, who on Saturday, October 25, hosted a costume party for her celebrity friends to attend. The party was held at her Pacific Palisades home and there were about 200 people in attendance.
A photograph was obtained by People magazine, showing Kate's home being decorated with pumpkins, spider webs, witches and even severed heads hanging from the trees. A guest who happened to be at the star-studded party told People, the pool, located in the backyard, was covered and made into a dance floor.

Finally get chance to appear together on the big screen, Hollywood couple Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have come onboard to topline an Aramid Entertainment-financed comedic feature entitled "Ashes to Ashes" that also marks Hawn's feature directorial debut.
Flick will focus on a woman who travels through India to Kathmandu to bury her husband's ashes but loses them along the way. Handling producing matters are Michel Shane and Anthony Romano, who both previously executive produced 20th Century Fox's sci-fi actioner "I, Robot."
The National Enquirer Apologized to Kate Hudson

Yesterday it was Britney Spears who accepted an apology from the National Enquirer for reporting in two stories last month that she was ready to divorce Kevin Federline. Just now, the British edition of the publication has agreed to pay undisclosed damages and print an apology to Kate Hudson for an October 2005 story that claimed the actress as "too thin" and looked "like skin and bones".
The related article claimed that Goldie Hawn planned to confront her daughter about her weight. In fact, both parties denied the claim, with Hudson saying "The allegations that I sued over were blatantly false, and I felt I had no choice but to set the record straight by challenging them in court". Moreover, the actress' lawyer Simon Smith said Hudson lost weight to get in shape for a film after giving birth to her son, Ryder, in January 2004. He said she took legal action over the magazine's suggestion she had "recklessly and foolishly endangered her health" by failing to eat."

The stunning actress successfully brought home the Killer Talent Award from the event while her fellow actress, Goldie Hawn, was bestowed the Lifetime Achievement honor.
Other recipients included tennis star Venus Williams who received The Comeback Award and model Petra Nemcova who was named The Survivor for surviving the Tsunami disaster last December. Meanwhile, the event itself will be broadcasted in syndication by November and December.
