July 21, 2008 10:07:51It appears that DMX can never have enough of being jailed. The rap star and actor was busted yet again. He was arrested at a mall in Phoenix on Saturday, July 19 for allegedly giving a false name and Social Security number to a hospital so he could escape paying for medical expenses.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was hanging out with some of his friends at Phoenix's Metrocenter mall when the arrest took place. Per Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, DMX checked into Scottsdale's Mayo Clinic back in April, seeking treatment for a bout of pneumonia. Instead of using his real name, he went by the name "Troy Jones" and failed to pay a $7,500 bill.

DMX was making his way out of a flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport when sheriffs arrested him. A Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman said the star was taken into custody for failure to appear in court, failure to pay fines and driving without a license, all of which are from past cases, stemmed from his arrests for marijuana possession and unauthorized driving of an all terrain vehicle (ATV).

He was arrested on Friday afternoon, June 27 for allegedly trying to buy drugs from an undercover agent. The recording artist, according to Miami Herald, "approached the officer and asked for '30 powder and 15 weed,' or $30 worth of cocaine and $15 worth of marijuana."

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was picked up at about 1:30 P.M. Monday on an arrest warrant for not having a valid driver's license. He was later on taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Institute, where a spokeswoman said he remained behind bars until at about 5:30 P.M. His bond, according to reports, is set at $500.
DMX Busted, Again, on Drug and Animal-Cruelty Charges

Three days after getting busted for a months-old traffic violation; including speeding and reckless driving among others, the rap artist was arrested again on Friday morning, May 9 on drug and animal-cruelty charges following months of investigation into the discovery of a dozen malnourished pit bulls and a large weapons cache at his Cave Creek, Arizona, home back in late August 2007.
According to the Maricopa County sheriff's office, a SWAT team executed a search warrant on DMX's Cave Creek, Ariz., residence at about 3 A.M. Friday only to find even more weapons and drugs, which ultimately led to the filing of an additional drug possession charge. Police, additionally, removed five other pit bull puppies from the rapper's home and took them to a nearby prison, where they will be cared for by female inmates.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed Wednesday, May 7 the rapper-actor was taken into custody without incident Tuesday afternoon at his Cave Creek, Arizona, residence. He was booked into jail and released on bond the following day. He was charged with racing on a highway, reckless driving, two counts of endangerment and three counts of criminal speed and driving on a suspended license.
Rapper DMX Not Taking Blame for Concert Riot

He, through a representative claimed of not knowing that there is an ordinance law that the concert should end at 9:30 P.M..
The concert was scheduled to start at 8:30 P.M. and the University's Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity has agreed to end the concert an hour later. DMX however, not knowing about the deal, came up an hour late and only served three songs when police pulled him off the stage. A riot from students who had paid $25 to watch the concert soon began to erupt and police were forced to mace the front row when they began throwing objects on the stage, aiming them to the officers. No arrest had been made though as in press time.
Rapper DMX Tapped for 'Bleeding'

Variety reported that the East Coast rapper will be joining the eclectic cast for the vampire-genre film.
The "Touch It" hitmaker will be polishing his acting skills alongside Vinnie Jones, Michael Matthias, Michael Madsen and Armand Assante as well as William McNamara, Pittsburgh Slim, Rachelle Leah and tattoo artist Kat Von D. Still, it has yet to be known what character the 37-year-old will be portraying despite the signing-in reports.
DMX to Release Double CD, One With No Cursing

One CD will contain his usual Hip-Hop record while the other will be a Gospel. "I'm talking about a hip-hop album and a gospel album," DMX explained. "The same title is gonna be on both albums, but on one album one part (of the title) is gonna be(highlighted) while on the other album, the other name is gonna be (highlighted)."
DMX Joined Bodog Entertainment

According to the official site of the firm, the rapper will release his new album, "Walk With Me Now" and "You'll Fly With Me Later" with the online gaming company.
Regarding his joining Bodog, DMX released a statement. In it, he expressed his relief by stating, "I'm thankful for the fact that Bodog believes in me, that we share the same vision and the fact that they see in me the same thing I see. I'll show you [Bodog Music] how it's supposed to be done, and we'll get to where we're supposed to be. You got a dog for life."

DMX gets into trouble. The rapper hits another new low with another animal cruelty. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Department raided that star's home in Cave Creek, Arizona on Friday morning August 24th and found 12 undernourished pit bulls which soon thereafter turned over to a shelter.
Authorities said they received reports about two weeks ago of "animal abuse/neglect" at the house and quickly informed DMX's camp about the matter and issued a warning to remove the animals should the care not improved.

A rapper and actor, DMX is adding one more occupation into his career resume, fashion designer. The man, who is well known more because of his legal troubles than his music work, is preparing to launch his DMX Authentic and Earl Simmons Signature Collection clothing lines, an effort that promotes "real clothing for real people," according to a source from DMX's design team.
The product, according to a press release, will be "edgy, gritty graphic t-shirts" for those looking for tough, durable quality clothing with contemporary style. The company says the line will go after the niche of the young, aggressive, and hip market looking for clothing to match their lifestyle. They, furthermore, say they use such high-quality fabrics with state of the art graphic treatments and designs that reflect what people want in contemporary clothing today.
Rapper DMX Caused Riot at Hot 97's Back to School Jam

DMX was slated to headline the Hot 97's Back to School Jam, held Saturday September 30th at the Nassau Coliseum. But the rapper unfortunately turned the concert into a riot when he allegedly beat a soundman following sound problems which caused his microphone completely cut out.
Speaking on the incident, Nassau Police Detective Sergeant James Watson said the sound problems occurred when DMX had been on stage no more than 15 minutes. "There came a point in time that the sound was turned down and up again during DMX's performance and it appears he became irate at the soundman. DMX ran toward the sound person, jumped off the stage and onto the soundboard and started a fight with the person."

The rapper has to, unfortunately, have his latest set "Year of the Dog... Again" slips one to 2nd place with another 126,000 copies, such amount that becomes the lowest opening week of him.
And who's the No. 1 on the chart? It's "Now That's What I Call Music! 22" which taking in another 127,000 copies to score a third week on top. Following at number three on the Billboard 200 is Kidz Bop's "Kidz Bop 10" with more than 116,000 in sales. Stone Sour, in the meantime, debuts at No. 4 with their sophomore release, "Come What(ever) May", sold 81,000 copies. Last week's leader, LeToya Luckett's "LeToya" drops four to No. 5 with 65,000 copies.

Rap star DMX has been charged with traffic infractions, again. He was on Friday afternoon June 2nd, 2006, stopped for driving his 2001 Chevy Suburban at unreasonable speeds and making unsafe lane changes, Deputy Commissioner Daniel Jackson of the White Plains police said Monday.
What an unfortunate for DMX that once he was stopped, police found he was not wearing a seat belt and did not have a driver's license. The 35-year-old rapper was then ticketed and told to come to court on June 16.

After receiving a conditional discharge last December, he was again charged with driving 104 mph near his home and shortly thereafter was involved in a three-car accident. The rapper could as well spend one year in jail if a judge decides these incidents violated the conditions of his release. His next trial is scheduled on October 11.
DMX Arrested in Car Crash
April 18, 2005 09:04:19Rap star DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after his car crashed into a police cruiser off the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx. The 34 years old star crashed his car into the back of another vehicle which then hit the police cruiser.
The crash caused the driver of the first car, who is a woman, got a minor injuries and was treated at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx. Report mentioned the two police officers were also treated for minor injuries. Police said on Saturday that DMX was arrested, charged with driving with a suspended license, but was then released.
