Aerosmith's Frontman Rushed to Hospital After Falling From Stage
August 07, 2009 02:08:16Aerosmith's Steven Tyler fell from the stage during a live concert at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. According to Billboard, the vocalist suffered minor head and neck injuries as well as a shoulder injury. On early Thursday, August 6, he was sent to hospital for medical treatment.
"He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand. He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage," Mike Sanborn, a spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground which hosted the outdoor gig, told Billboard. "It was an unfortunate end to an extraordinary evening."
Aerosmith Pull Off Venezuela Gig Due to Joe Perry's Knee Surgery
January 17, 2009 02:01:06Aerosmith have canceled their planned show in Caracas, Venezuela because rhythm guitarist Joe Perry needs to undergo emergency surgery on his knee. They were supposed to make a live appearance at the gig to be held at Estadio Olimpico as part of Solid Fest on February 1.
"Playing Venezuela was my idea of a perfect way to start the New Year," so singer Steven Tyler says in regard of the cancellation. "But having heard Joe had to revisit the hospital this month, the band are truly disappointed we can't be in Caracas, and we hope to see everyone there soon."

Post completing their nine days tour, Aerosmith will head back to the studio for their 15th studio album. Although production team is still a blurry image, some materials and each member's heart are ready to see what comes out in the end.
Guitarist Joe Perry revealed that no confirmed producer has been listed yet but the idea of Rick Rubin being in the "so-called captain's chair at Sony" thrilled them to get his participation. "It's not just about the music, it's about the feel, and he's one of the few that really gets it," Perry said.

Aerosmith is back to the States after continuously serving worldwide tour. The rock outfit will spend two months roaming in North America with a few extra dates in Canada.
The short jaunt that will embark July 19 from Sarnia, Ontario is the band's next venture after tirelessly visiting Brazil, United Arab Emirates, India and Mexico in spring. The North American leg will wind down September 20 in Uncasville,CT.

India will be Aerosmith's next stop in the Latin America and Europe leg of tour. It is claimed by the members as their first time to visit and perform in the country. The band is scheduled to play in India's financial and film hub of Mumbai on June 2.
This visit is an additional venue to the Latin America and Europe tour beside United Arab Emirates. The tour itself is held in between the band's tight schedule to record the 15th studio album which is planned to be released in fall 2007.

Notwithstanding with the time changing, The Rolling Stones remains great. The Rock 'n' Roll band has topped the list of the Biggest-Grossing North American Tours of 2006, selling 138.5 million dollars worth of tickets for their 'A Bigger Bang' shows.
The tour, which includes 39 shows across the United States and Canada, is the third-highest on Pollstar's all-time list, behind the Stones' 2005 tour ($US162 million), and Irish rock band U2's trek that same year ($US138.9 million). Back on the 2006 list, behind the rockers is Barbra Streisand who's taking in $US92.5 million for just 20 shows.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler has revealed in an interview with US entertainment TV show Access Hollywood, set to air Tuesday night Sept 26th, that he has secretly been battling hepatitis C. It is a blood-borne infection that can potentially lead to fatal liver damage, including cirrhosis or liver cancer.
The rock singer told host Nancy O'Dell he was diagnosed three years ago but had contracted hepatitis C several years earlier without manifesting any symptoms. He subsequently endured a year's worth of pills and injections containing the antiviral drug interferon.

American rock band Aerosmith keeps rolling on their upcoming fall tour despite the fact that its bass player, Tom Hamilton, has been diagnosed with throat cancer.
Hamilton, who has just completed a seven-week course of radiation treatment, is expected to rejoin his bandmates on the road by mid-October, so a spokeswoman said on Thursday August 24th.

Here are the recap of the Top 10 which include the so-called modern circus "Cirque De Soleil" at No. 1 with $1,401,283 total box office gross.
At No. 2 is still Bon Jovi which tours score around $1,263,894, ahead of Aerosmith at No. 3 with total gross of $1,144,03. Irish rock band U2 has just canceled its Vertigo tour dates due to a family illness. Just now, another music act Aerosmith also is canceling its top concert tours with the reason that frontman Steven Tyler has an undisclosed illness.
The band reportedly will not make a scheduled stop in Manchester, New Hampshire Thursday night. Moreover, the Boston-based band also canceled recent performances in Pensacola, Florida and in Lexington, Kentucky. There has yet plan to reschedule the date.

New Aerosmith Abum Due October
September 08, 2005 02:09:54Aerosmith is planning on their upcoming live project and will release "Rockin' The Joint" on October 25th via Columbia as a DualDisc with an 11 songs on the CD side. It among others include rarities like "Light Inside," "No More No More," "Seasons of Wither" and "Rattlesnake Shake."
As for the DVD, it will include the band's entire 25-song set from The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on January 11th, 2002. Not so long, they will support the album with an arena tour this winter, which dates haven't been announced yet.
Joe Perry of Aerosmith has Released Solo Album
May 17, 2005 09:05:25The 54-year-old Joe Perry of the long-running hard rock band Aerosmith has just released his first solo album in more than 20 years, in which he singing on every track and playing every instrument but drums. The self-titled album features a cover of The Doors' song "Crystal Ship" and "Ten Years," which is written for his wife Billie on their 10th anniversary.
Released under Columbia Records, the album has been sold a modest 10,000 copies during its first week, with hardly any promotion or radio play. To further support on his album release, Perry will next play a few live shows, but he won't take too much time off from his day job because Aerosmith will tour in the fall before starting work on a new album.
