AceShowbiz - Wyclef Jean has opened up about his public spat with Sean Penn, confirming the pair has now "kissed and made up" following a falling out over aid efforts in Haiti. The "Fugees" star hit out after Penn criticized him for running for presidency of the Caribbean nation after a devastating earthquake last year.
Jean accused Penn of drug abuse - but the pair reportedly made up at a performance by Haitian band T-Vice in New York last weekend.
Now Jean has confirmed he and Penn are friends again, telling New York Post gossip column PageSix, "We're fine. We kissed and made up... (Sean told me,) 'You're more powerful without being a president. You're the only person outside of that country that can give the country big visual lights. I felt like you were diminishing your power.' But (he also) said, 'In five years, I know you'll be ready to do it.'"
