AceShowbiz - Pop star Christina Milian has opened up about her hellish marriage to producer Terius 'The-Dream' Nash, confessing she knew he was cheating on her but thought she could fix the broken relationship. Nash filed for divorce from Milian just days before the couple's daughter Violet was born last February. They reached a settlement out of court in November.

Details about their split agreement and custody plans were not disclosed and Milian insists that information will never be made public - although she's taken issue with inaccurate claims she's been ordered to remain silent about their brief marriage.

And now she's speaking out in the February issue of Latina magazine, admitting the five-month marriage was awful. She says, "I've been to hell and back, but I survived... I tried to be someone I wasn't because I wanted my marriage to work, but ultimately, if it's not working, it's not working."

As for the cheating scandal that wrecked her marriage, she adds, "Looking back, my gut was telling me something was off. But I thought I could fix it." But she's glad the drama is behind her and she's looking forward to an exciting New Year: "I feel so much sexier than ever before... I feel brand new. I'm ready for the next phase of my life."
