AceShowbiz - Billy Crystal is set to make a Broadway comeback this fall with a new one-man show inspired by the devastating loss of his home in the California wildfires last year.

The play, titled 860, was written by Crystal and will be directed by Scott Ellis. It is slated for a limited 12-week run at the Shubert Theater, with preview performances beginning in October. The production team includes Crystal's wife, Janice Crystal, theater owner James L. Nederlander, Larry Magid, and Crystal's own company, Face Productions.

Crystal shared in a statement, "I am thrilled to return to Broadway this fall with this challenging new show. 860 was the address of the home we lost in the Palisades fires. We lived there for 46 years." He invited audiences to join him on a heartfelt journey inside the house, recounting both humorous and touching moments experienced there by his family and throughout his career.

The show promises to be a joyous and emotional exploration of resilience, highlighting how the support of loved ones and inner strength can help overcome hardship.

Crystal was among numerous celebrities who lost their homes in the January 2025 wildfires that ravaged parts of California, including Altadena and the Pacific Palisades. The fires tragically claimed 31 lives and destroyed thousands of residences. Crystal and his wife announced that their family home burned down shortly after evacuation orders were issued.

As Crystal prepares to share this personal story on stage, audiences can expect an intimate portrayal of loss, family bonds, and the power of perseverance in the face of tragedy.
