AceShowbiz - Zendaya addressed the recent buzz surrounding AI-generated wedding photos featuring herself and fiancé Tom Holland during her Monday appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
The actress revealed that many people have been fooled by the convincing fake images, some even complimenting her on the “gorgeous” wedding photos. She clarified, “I was just like out and about in real life and people were like, ‘Oh my god, your wedding photos are gorgeous,’” to which she responded, “Babe, they are AI. They’re not real.”
When host Jimmy Kimmel inquired if anyone close to her was tricked by the AI photos and upset about missing the fictional wedding, Zendaya acknowledged with an exasperated “Yeah!”
Embracing the playful spirit of the situation, Zendaya then shared her own humorous take by showing a video clip that was presented as a wedding reception video—though it was actually a clip from her upcoming movie The Drama, with Tom Holland’s face digitally placed over co-star Robert Pattinson’s.
Before the clip aired, Kimmel teased, “In a lot of ways, it somewhat closely resembles a scene in the film. And it almost seems like somebody just crudely pasted Tom’s head over Robert’s head.” Zendaya jokingly insisted, “No. That was real footage. I was there, for sure.”
The viral AI wedding rumors originally sparked at the 2026 Actor Awards when Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach cryptically told reporters, “You missed it,” when asked about the wedding.
Roach later avoided clarifying the comments during the 2026 Oscars, telling one reporter, “No, I said what I said,” and sidestepping further questions by discussing Chanel shoes instead of the wedding.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC, where Zendaya made light of the AI-generated wedding photo frenzy with her own clever spoof.
