The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 2025 induction class celebrates a rich tapestry of music history. Discover who officially made the final cut and who got sidelined this year!

AceShowbiz - The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the 13 inductees for its 2025 class, featuring a mix of pioneering legends and modern-day trailblazers. The list, revealed during a live broadcast of "American Idol" by Ryan Seacrest.

It includes seven artists voted in by the Hall's voters and six selected by its board. The induction ceremony will take place on November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, streaming live on Disney+.

Newly elected by the Hall's voters are Cyndi Lauper, The White Stripes, Chubby Checker, Outkast, Bad Company, Soundgarden, and Joe Cocker.

Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon are selected by the board to receive the Musical Influence award while producer Thom Bell, pianist Nicky Hopkins, and bassist Carole Kaye will be honored with the Musical Excellence Award. Record executive Lenny Waronker gets the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

"Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of Rock & Roll forever," said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, in a statement. "Their music gave a voice to generations and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps."

Nominees missing the final cut include Phish, Oasis, Mariah Carey, Billy Idol, Joy Division + New Order, and Mana.

Cyndi Lauper and the White Stripes made it on their second nominations whereas Soundgarden emerged victorious on their third. Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Bad Company, and Outkast achieved induction on their first nominations.

Despite backlash primarily from rock musicians, the Rock and Roll Hall continues its shift from its classic rock roots to embrace diverse genres.
