AceShowbiz - In a surprising twist during the 2025 NFL draft, Deion Sanders' son Shedeur Sanders got an unexpected prank call orchestrated by Jax Ulbrich, the son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich. The incident quickly became viral on social media.

Jax Ulbrich, 21, admitted to prank-calling Shedeur Sanders on day two of the NFL draft. He impersonated New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, promising Sanders a draft pick that never materialized.

Jax later issued a heartfelt apology on his Instagram, "I made a terrible mistake and messed with that moment. Shedeur, what I did was completely inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful. I'm so sorry I took away from your moment, it was selfish and childish."

The Falcons quickly addressed the situation, "Jax Ulbrich, the 21-year-old son of defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, unintentionally came across the draft contact phone number for Shedeur Sanders off an open iPad while visiting his parent's home and wrote the number down to later conduct a prank call. Jeff Ulbrich was unaware of the data exposure or any facets of the prank and was made aware of the above only after the fact."

They further condemned the incident, "The Atlanta Falcons do not condone this behavior and send our sincere apologies to Shedeur Sanders and his family, who we have been in contact with to apologize to, as well as facilitate an apology directly from Jax to the Sanders family."

Despite the prank, Shedeur Sanders, now drafted by the Cleveland Browns, remained composed and unbothered. "It didn't really have an impact on me," Sanders told reporters, "Of course, I feel like it was a childish act, but everybody does childish things here and there."

The NFL is reportedly investigating the matter to prevent future occurrences and ensure the integrity of contact information provided to prospects. Whether intentional or accidental, such breaches of privacy during the draft add unnecessary stress to already high-pressure situations.
