Kaitlyn Bristowe gets honest as she revealed her strained financial dynamics and feelings of being 'used' during her relationship with former fiance Jason Tartick.

AceShowbiz - "The Bachelorette" alum Kaitlyn Bristowe got candid about her breakup with ex-fiance Jason Tartick. On Thursday's episode of her podcast, "Off the Vine," she said she felt "used" financially during their four-year romance, despite both having similar incomes.

Although her house was paid off, she often had to ask Tartick to split bills every month, adding to her feelings of financial imbalance. "That makes me feel cheap. We had both very similar income. I felt like he was riding a wave," she lamented.

Bristowe also accused Tartick, 36, of leveraging their relationship to advance his career, further intensifying her reservations. "And I'm not saying he didn't love me because I think he did, also unsure, but it felt like [he was] riding coattails, riding a wave, [to get to] where he wanted to get to," she explained.

The former reality TV star speculated that Tartick is still "really working on who he is" without a relationship and encouraged him to get introspective.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick met during a taping of "Off the Vine" in 2018 and began dating the following year. Their romance flourished quickly, leading to their engagement in May 2021.

Bristowe openly shared her excitement about starting a family and having a "Great Gatsby"-inspired wedding. Despite freezing her eggs to mitigate the pressures of a ticking biological clock, she was enthusiastic about family planning.

However, the relationship wasn't meant to last, and the engagement ended two years later. In a joint statement released in August 2023, the couple stated, "It's heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die."

Before dating Tartick, Bristowe got engaged to Shawn Booth during "The Bachelorette" season 11 finale. In a twist, she once told Tartick that she felt "used" by Booth.

"It was like getting down to the end where we both just didn't see it going anywhere," she said before tying their relationship issue with his business, "It felt like he was hanging on until his gym opened and that's where I felt used."

Following his split from Bristowe, Tartick briefly dated social media personality Kat Stickler, with their relationship ending in October 2024. Bristowe, on the other hand, was most recently linked to fellow Bachelor Nation alum Zac Clark, but neither has confirmed the dating rumors.
