Despite reaching a divorce settlement, Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert are due to clash in court again as she accused him of secretly releasing details of their private divorce settlement.

AceShowbiz - The drama between Teyana Taylor and ex-husband Iman Shumpert is far from over despite divorce settlement. In fact, it's getting messier by the second.

In the latest development of their divorce saga, the "We Got Love" artist sued the NBA star, alleging the athlete of leaking their "divorce settlement" to the media, a claim Shumpert vehemently denies.

According to court documents filed on March 18, Taylor accused Shumpert of leaking false information about their divorce. She claimed the leaks began after she posted pictures with her new boyfriend, Aaron Pierre, at the Oscars on March 3.

"Everything that either party received in the divorce was awarded by the Court," said Taylor, emphasizing that the ex-couple never entered into any settlement agreement.

She called for the court to hold Shumpert in contempt and demanded a $1,000 fine, in addition to covering her legal fees due to his "bad faith" conduct.

Shumpert's lawyer, Stephen C. Steele, has denied these accusations, stating, "Mr. Shumpert has never whatsoever leaked any allegations or claims stated in any of the pleadings."

Adding fuel to the fire, Taylor claimed during an Instagram livestream that she has evidence showing Shumpert paid blogs to post misinformation about her. She said, "I have the proof that you're paying people to post this stuff…These fake rumors… none of this stuff is from this year."

She shared that she feels unsafe due to the death threats over the situation, and expressed frustration at the constant resurfacing of divorce rumors whenever her career peaks.

The couple, who married in 2016 and share two daughters, Junie, 9, and Rue Rose, 4, finalized their divorce on July 1, 2024.

Taylor had more to say about their division of assets, claiming she left with only what she paid for herself. She also revealed that Shumpert retained a Miami condo initially gifted to her.

Amid these unfolding dramas, Taylor shared her hope for a peaceful future. "I would like to live my life in peace… and I would like him to live his life in peace," Taylor shared on her livestream.

Meanwhile, Shumpert's team maintains that he is abiding by the court's orders and refraining from disclosing any sealed information.

The public will have to wait for the resolution as the couple is ordered to appear in front of a judge on June 24 for a mediation conference scheduled for the previous day. It remains to be seen how this saga will conclude, but one thing is certain: the drama continues.
