The actress and producer is attached to lead and produce the film adaptation of Joe Cote's 2021 viral Reddit short story, "I Pretended to Be a Missing Girl."

The story centers around a drifter, portrayed by Sweeney, who impersonates a missing girl to rob her family, only to discover that her cunning plan was a grievous error. Additionally, she will reprise her role in the hit series "Euphoria" and co-star alongside Julianne Moore in Apple TV's upcoming project, "Echo Valley."

Sweeney's role as a producer is rapidly expanding after she produced Sony's 2023 romantic comedy hit "Anyone But You," which grossed $220.3 million worldwide. Her production acumen is further showcased in the horror film "Immaculate," which premiered at SXSW and was released by Neon.
