The 'Wonder Woman' actress opens up about her life-threatening health condition that prompted an emergency surgery when she was pregnant with baby No. 4.

AceShowbiz - Gal Gadot detailed a harrowing health scare that occurred while she was pregnant with her fourth child. Appearing on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to promote her new film, "Snow White", she candidly shared her life-threatening ordeal.

She recalled enduring severe headaches for three weeks during the eighth month of her pregnancy. Initially, doctors attributed her symptoms to migraines and hormonal changes. "I had major headaches for three weeks and I was seeing doctors and different neurologists," Gadot said.

The persistent pain led her mother to insist on further testing. "My mom, we talk a million times a day every day, but after three weeks, she told my husband, 'Enough. We need to get her checked, do an MRI,' " Gadot recounted.

This crucial decision revealed that Gadot was suffering from cerebral venous thrombosis, a rare condition responsible for just 3% of strokes worldwide. "They found out this horrible thing and we were rushed to the hospital," she said. "And they got the baby out immediately. I went through a thrombectomy."

Despite the severity of the situation, the prompt medical response at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles saved her life. "The most amazing team cared for me," she shared, thanking her doctors. "They saved my life."

Gadot emphasized the importance of advocating for personal health, especially for those who might dismiss their symptoms. "Our bodies are always communicating with us," she said. "We just need to listen and get checked. If anything, you're going to check, you're going to overcheck yourself, but it's better to overcheck than to not check."

Reflecting on the experience and her newborn daughter, Ori, Gadot expressed deep gratitude. Ori, meaning "my light," signifies hope and recovery for the actress. "Before the surgery, I told [my husband] Jaron that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel," she said.

Gadot's story is a powerful reminder of the fragility of life and the significance of paying attention to medical advice. By sharing her experience, she hopes to inspire others to take their health concerns seriously and seek necessary treatment without delay. The actress continues to use her platform to encourage self-care and persistence in facing health challenges.
